(no subject)

it is monday, february 23rd and what am i doing? working on my nabokov paper. and when is it due? oh, definitely not tomorrow. it's due this thursday, february 26th. how cool am i?!
i definitely like this topic too. if i can get it written tonight, i'll jump for joy. you see, i have a test in space, time, and god on thursday as well. so if i do this tonight, i can spend wednesday night studying instead of paper writing. because if i write my paper that night, i won't study. and so this way, i do well on both, not just on the paper. go me!
i have another paper due monday for 1920s lit. that one will be a doozy. and unfortunately, i have to work that day from 5:30 AM until 10:00, and then go to c lass from 10:30-11:15. the paper is due at 1:30. le sigh.
my core professor is handing out our midterm (4 questions, you must answer three) on wednesday. i have no idea when that will be due, but probably in a week or so.
so, it's gonna be a busy week/week and a half for me. not to mention working 3-5 days each week. so sigh.
but if i get these papers/tests taken care of in a timely manner, i'll be fine!!! and my mom promised to give me moneys for being smart this year. because apparently my gpa isn't good enough for them. and also appaerntly i can only be motivated by money. ha.
so anyway, i'm doing good. and the apartment situation is currently looking good. ifer is 99% a go already, and anna is sure her parents will say yes. and mine? well. we'll see. i'll...uh...crawl into a hole if they say no. because living in a tiny room with three other people while they do construction outside my window doesn't sound appealing. especially if they aren't even sure they can assure me that. they may have to go to a lottery system for rooms next year, like ga state does. which would be silly.
but. so i'm around, and i'm doing good currently. oh! my parents brought me back a dead butterfly from their caribbean cruise. does this bother anyone else? it's beautiful, but...mm...morbid? i dunno. i couldn't bring it to school becase they aren't supposed to get too much sunlight and also they are supposed to be away from cats. because apparently cats will attack these butterflies because they look real, 'though encased in glass. i found that sort of amusing. but does this bother you too? it does me a bit.
