Leanne Goes To Comic Con!
This is my 8 year old daughter's first writing project. She made everyone proud with this one!
June 2nd was a day I was waiting for forever. It was the day I got to go to Comic Con and meet John Barrowman. John Barrowman is an entertainer. He acts, sings, and he even wrote my favorite book with his sister. I was going to get my book, Hollow Earth, signed. I got to go with my mommy, Aunt Lynn and Cousin Hope and we all wore costumes. Mommy made me a gas mask because she was dressed like the ninth Doctor.
We went to the John Barrowman panel. He was so funny that Mommy, Aunt Lynn and Hope were laughing. He even sang a little of a song I can't remember. He answered a lot of questions. We were all happy because we were in the front row. When the panel was over we went to get my book signed. The line was so long Mommy made friends. It was finally our turn. He saw my gas mask and bent down to talk to me. He said "Before you ask, I am not your mummy." I was so surprised I couldn't talk. Mommy even got a hug. She was so happy she was in a good mood for a week.
So many fun things happened at Comic Con. Meeting John Barrowman was one of my favorites. But my real favorite part was being able to go with my mommy and Aunt Lynn because they are the best in the whole world and I love them very much.
