Stephen reminded me that i recently went to Borders to find a new Bible for next year to replace my Teen Study one,and while I was there, I unexpectedly encountered a very interesting character...So my sister and I were climbing on the shelves trying to look at different books, and this old grimey man walks up and jokingly asks to give my sister a leg up. He kind of chuckled underneath his greasy hair, two-inch-thick glasses from the eighties, armpit-stained-twenty-year-old t-shirt, and paint-caked and holey jeans. We proceeded looking through books when he point at my butt and asked what it was...I was like, "nasty, gross man! leave me alone!" only in my head though...i looked down at my pump and told him what it was...he said he was a diabetic but on shots and talked kind of incoherently about it for a good twenty minutes in response to my nods and yesses. He told me about his trailer park, his singleness, his past of drugs and drinking, and his silver truck...then we finally left after he patted me on the shoulder and told me to "stay active."
So when we got in the car, my mom and my sister were like, "um..you were a little too nice to that guy...he was so weird...you shouldn't be that nice to strangers." I agree, but I didn't want to be rude either...then I started looking around me for a stalker in a silver truck...what if i was too nice...eww! scary!
So I learned a lesson that you're suppose to learn before kindergarten: never talk to strangers, or if you must never be exceedingly nice cause you could get hurt?
Life is so difficult and confusing sometimes...when I'm mean, I regret it, so then I'm nice, and still I regret it...
Peace!
