Sorry I haven't posted anything in a very long time.
There has been a lot that happened that not much time to talk to anyone about it.
To put things plainly, my mother had gotten really bad.
Yesterday we had to phone the paramedics to get them to come to the house to take her to the hospital. No matter how hard we tried, we could not get her to respond to us for more than a few seconds at a time and then she would fall back asleep.
She has not spoken a word since about four o'clock yesterday afternoon.
We're hopeful at the moment.
She coughs and wakes up. She snore occasionally. And, if she is awake, she will follow you with her eyes when you're talking to her (and change to someone else when they speak) and she makes a few grunts when you talk to her. She also has cried a few times.
I stayed with her last night but tonight, because there is a hospital bed coming in the morning, I am home. At least I have a lot of cleaning to do to help deal.
