Touchy Feely People+Kim=a HUGE problem

I hate it when people touch me. Thats just the way I am. I need my personal space; most people know that. Some people know it and choose to not respect it. Like _____ (name deleted to protect the guilty, and to make sure no one can get pissed at me for talking about them). I don't care if I am freezing; don't try to hug me. Don't put your arm around me. If you really want to do those things, you must ask first. It just makes me so uncomfortable when people touch me. You don't have to put your hand on my arm when talking to me; I already know I'm the one you're addressing. You don't have to put your hand on my shoulder as a greeting; a simple "Hi Kim" suits me just fine. If you want a hug, ask for it. Chances are, if you're comfortable enough to do that I'll give you one. Just don't assume that I want you to touch me, because I don't. There are very few people with whom it is ok. Are you family (and I mean immediate)? Then fine, go ahead (well, not dad, so just Bill and Mom). Are you a very close friend? Are you sure? You'd be better asking. People always take it as a personal insult, too. "Oh no, I put my arm around her and she froze up and went silent" no Jackass, that doesn't mean I don't like you. It just means I don't want to be touched and you should keep your fucking hands to yourself. If I'm cold, I'm cold, I'll deal. If you find something funny, don't go and put your head on my shoulder. There is no need for that. I'm ranting and I know it, but this is MY journal and I'll do what I please. Have a nice day.
