R2D2, it is you, it IS you!
I'm at work, and it is my third to last day! I am excited to leave, even though this has been a cool internship -- no annoying clerical work, nice people, exciting 'field trips' to meet important people in the Houston community. I have also learned a lot, including how to persuade people you don't know to do things they don't particularly want to do -- over the phone, no less; and the too-relaxed and unorganized nature of a nonprofit (at least this one) ... Let's put it this way: I'll definitely be glad to have my own office at the law firm, (make more money, so sue me I'm totally bourgeois) and have more work to do.
By the way, I'll be making the trip to AL next week (after a short visit in Michigan -- welcome change from 90 degree heat? yes.) More details to come, but I'll stay with my mom by the lake (last time ever, because we're selling it!) and also make a visit to Birmingham of course.
By the way, I loved Star Wars!!!! Obi-wan Kenobi, I heart you. And Anakin, you were surprisingly better than in the last one. But which of those buttons calls your parrrents to pick you up?!
