Fic: Sticky Notes (Oasis Slash/ RPF)

Jan 20, 2009 00:34

“Mine. Mine. Mine. Oh definitely fucking mine,” Liam mumbled, stepping in front of the TV. He paused momentarily, impairing his older brother’s view of the screen as he scribbled onto a sticky note before placing the neon colored paper in the center of some news presenter’s face.

“Oi! I was watchin’ that! Noel stood from the sofa, stepping forward to pull Liam’s note off of the screen. Not that he was particularly interested in the news program; it was the point of the matter. “The TV is yours now, eh?”

“Oh definitely, I’ve seen the shite you watch. I’m not puttin’ up with that,” he answered, gesturing his finger flamboyantly between his brother and the television to emphasize his point. Defiant of his brother’s actions, he replaced the sticky note with a fresh one proudly displaying ‘Liam’s’.

“You can’t fuckin’ claim the TV, there’s only one in the room.” Noel threw the remote he’d been holding down where he’d previously been sitting and ran his hand through his dark hair in exasperation.

“Tell the manager to book a better hotel next time then, maybe one with two TVs. Or, maybe one up that and book two fuckin’ rooms for us!”

“You still harping on that? I can’t say I’m over the moon about having to spend a week in this tiny room with you...” Crossing his arms, the older man stood in the center of the room watching his clearly manic younger brother. “I mean... we could switch. You could stay with Gem, me with Andy...” Noel could read his brother like a book. He knew full and well that Liam would ignore this suggestion.

Acting as if he hadn’t heard a thing, Liam continued. “Well, if we’ve got to do this, I’m claiming what’s mine.” He waggled the pad of paper at Noel before returning to his task of labeling various items in the room. By this point he’d moved on to the fridge, taking special care to mark his territory on various beverages inside.

Noel rolled his eyes at his brother’s incessant rampage as he followed Liam’s determined quest into the bedroom area. He sighed watching the younger man stand between the two beds apparently torn on which to choose. Liam bent over the bed nearest to the window bouncing his hands to test the mattress. Noel took the opportunity to snatch away the sticky notes from off the duvet.

“Might as well claim what’s mine before you continue your little rampage,” he spoke nonchalantly when his brother looked up inquisitively. Noel gestured innocently toward his guitar case and other bags.

“Do what you fuckin’ like,” Liam grunted in reply as he gathered his whole body onto the bed and continuing to bounce upon it like a child. Noel was unable to help cracking a smile at the sight as he tore a few of the brightly colored sheets from the pad.

“Yeah, this one is fuckin’ mine,” Liam finally stated, clearly contented with the bounciness of the bed he was currently on, not bothering to test the other mattress. “What time is it? Don’t we got an interview to do before the gig tonight? We need to get a move on.” He lifted himself off the now wrinkled duvet and stepped into the other room.

Noel followed after he’d placed a note on his possessions. “Well, I think we’d have a better idea of what time it was if you didn’t put a fucking note over the clock.” He watched as his brother halted to observe himself in the mirror; the perfect moment.

“Y’know, Liam, there’s still one more thing I need to claim.” Liam didn’t respond, still messing about with the collar of his jacket as he stared intently at his reflection. His eyes only barely caught Noel’s mischievous smile.

Noel gripped Liam’s arm, spinning him around to face him before crashing his lips into his. Taking advantage of the younger man’s surprised open mouth, he plunged his tongue inside to deepen the kiss. He pulled the other man’s body close to his, his hand cupping his bottom. Then as abruptly as he had begun, Noel pulled back leaving a dazed and heavy breathing Liam in his wake.

Noel adjusted his still stunned brother’s collar. “There, that’s better. We should head off or we’ll be late.” He stepped back as Liam merely nodded, blinking behind his sunglasses. He followed Noel’s gesturing arm toward the door as his older brother stepped inline behind him.

Neither Gem, Andy nor the journalist conducting the interview saw it, or at the very least didn’t mention it. But Noel grinned widely, eyeing his prize as they left the meeting; his eyes trailing over the one thing that would always be his. For on the back of his oblivious brother, stuck to his blue jean clad arse was one single sticky note proudly displaying five letters - ‘Noel’s’.
