There's a story behind this one! My grandmother was a truly terrific cook, as was her husband and all her sisters-in-law. They were very competitive, and my grandmother had a humorous streak, so she really did alter her recipes to keep others from stealing them. As my mother and I have gone through them, we've had to experiment to find the real measurements we're supposed to use. After the Chili Incident, which yielded chili so hot it would send you running, we learned not to trust her recipes at face value. ;) I made up the Stinkberry Surprise, though. Don't think I'd touch that one, either!
