YISTERDAY...
quellefromage and I went to see Coraline (and eat popcorn with more oil than the Exxon Valdez). I really liked it. The animation was awesome, I adored the way little Coraline moved and her tiny hair clip and pointy nose, the sets/design were AMAZING. Now, I haven't read the original Gaiman story, but I was sort of put off by the character of Coraline's mother. I won't give anything away right here, but in comments - anybody? - what was she like in the book?
Also - I was kind of weirded out by the physical appearance of...yup...every single male character in the movie. Even the cat. I don't know what's going on there.

They're for work, and they're super comfy with good arch support - which is what I need, according to the guy at the Walking Store. WE SHALL SEE, GUY...we shall see. Plus, they are roundy-toe shoes so they make my size 10 1/2 gunboats look like little kid feet - always a good thing.
Anyhoo. I'm going to go stare at the open document of my half-finished Christmas fic now.
