What's in my Travel Makeup and Toiletries Bag

Apr 01, 2012 18:36

I don't know about you girls but one of my most watched videos on YouTube (besides haul and makeup storage/collection videos) are what others are bringing on their trip, skincare and makeup wise.

I am a seasoned traveler but that does not stop me from watching those videos to gain inspirations on what I should pack on my next trip. Well, I am going on yet another road trip up North to Malacca with my family over the Good Friday weekend and I have just packed my makeup and toiletries bag (I usually pack them before my clothes) and decided to share it with all of you. I pack differently for each trip and I think this is probably the 3rd or 4th such 'travel' series. I hope I can keep it up to share them with you lovelies!.

Before that, I am gonna do a HUGE SHOUT OUT to 3 of my younger sister's colleagues, LYN, JIAYUAN & SHUHUI! Jiayuan & Shuhui have been silently reading my journal upon stumbling some reviews one day and saw my sister's picture in one of my earlier entries. To kill the curiosity, they decided to ask if she was related to me and found that we were sisters! And Lyn is a new reader who is in AWE about my makeup collection and my storage. This isn't the first time that my sister (both elder and younger) have had friends & colleagues asking if they were related to me. I have not been really active lately and I am glad I still have loyal readers. Thank you all of you. You have no idea how much it means to me!

I am ditching my matching Kate Spade toiletries and cosmetic bag for this trip as I wanted to make use of the Benefit cosmetic bag that Carrie has sent to me back in January and the new Coach cosmetic bag that I have purchased it approximately 2 weeks ago which was from a Coach emook. I will write more about it in my collective haul at the end of April.

First up, my toiletries in the huge Benefit Cosmetics Bag!

It is a short 3D2N weekend trip and these stuff are shared between myself and my younger sister. My mother has her own stuff as her skin type is different from ours. She will only share our bath products. I did not bother to decant some of the skin care since we are driving up and do have the luxury of space.

Top Row, Left to Right:
1) Watsons Bird's Nest Sheet Masks x 3 pcs (1 for each of us)
2) Feminine products
3) Deodorant (my favourite 12 plus from Thailand!)
4) Johnson's & Johnson's Baby Powder

2nd Row, Left to Right:
1) Olay 2-in-1 Daily Facial Cleansing Cloths (these my ultimate travel essential to remove my makeup! it is also an exfoliant on one side! Love love love these! Go search my reviews for those cloths!)
2) Watsons Floss Pickers & Watsons Band-Aids
3) Charcoal Pills

3rd Row, Left to Right:
1) Q-tips and Cotton Squares
2) Shiseido Pureness 3 step cleansing sample facial products
3) Eye drops
4) Colgate
5) Heme Pore Perfect Refining Night Jelly (bought this convenient travel size from Taiwan last year which is the perfect size for travel)
6) Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar Body Butter (love love love this scent that Carrie sent to me in January)

4th Row, Left to Right:
1) Elizabeth Arden Mediterranean travel EDP
2) The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Shower Gel
3) Biotherm Source Therapie sample tube serum
4) Vichy Aqualia Thermal Yeux sample tube eye gel
5) Metholatum ACNES Powder Lotion sample bottle
6) Differin Gel (my HG acne night treatment gel)
7) Ginvera Jade Dark Eye Circles Roll Away

5th Row, Left to Right:
1) CLEAR Women Anto-Dandruff Shampoo
2) Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Conditioner
3) Redoxon Vita Immue (my absolute travel companion. It provides me with all the essential vitamins when I am out and about)
4) Baviphat Paprika Trouble Out Cleansing Foam (I am almost out of this thus I packed along the Shiseido Pureness samples)
5) Bath & Body Works Pomegranate Citrus Body Lotion (for the day when we do not want the rich body butter out in the humid climate. This was also sent to me by Carrie! She actually sent a whole bagful of BBW products!)
6) Biotherm Acnopur Moisturizing Regulating Care (running out of this day moisturizer too)
6) Clean & Clear Persa-Gel (spot treatment just in case we break out)
7) L'Oreal Youth Code Serum Intense (this is the US version of the Pre-Essence that we have in Singapore. This is a plastic bottle so it is pretty light to pack the full bottle. My HG serum at the moment!)
8) Rejoice Collagen Component Smooth Leave-on Moisturizer (regular readers would have heard me rave about this product that both my sister and myself loves!)

There is just 3 more items that I have not packed, one of which is the heat protectant spray for our hair when we blow dry it with a hair dryer. Our favourite Ichikami hair styling water, sunblock and the final item, our toothbrushes. Did I over pack? Definitely not! I do not compromise on my skincare even while traveling!

And now, the cosmetics!

From Left to Right, Top Row Down:
1) ELF The Beauty Encyclopedia Eye Edition - I bought this palette last year but did not get a chance to use it as my travel cosmetic bag could not contain this and it is rather filmsy. I did not want to risk the palette from being wrecked in the suitcase. Since this trip is a road trip and the Coach cosmetic bag could contain it, I thought why not bring it along? I will have another picture of the palette below.
2) Garnier Light BB Instant Fairness BB Eye Roll-On
3) Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transulcent - Not my favourite but I am trying to complete this powder
4) MAC Stereo Rose MSF - As a blush
5) ELF Eyeshadow Brush
6) ELF Blending Brush
7) EcoTools Flat Shader Eyeshadow Brush
8) ELF Eyelash & Brow Wand
9) MAC 266SE
10) MAC 129SE
11) Sigma F84
12) Sigma F80
13) Urban Decay Pore Perfecting Complexion Primer Potion - Not my favourite either, trying to complete this product
14) Kate Volume Gel Mascara - I do not intend to have va va voom lashes so a normal mascara will do
15) MAC Rapid Black Penultimate Eye Liner
16) MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Engraved
17) Sally Hansen Diamond Lip Treatment in Antique Bronze
18) K-Palette D-Kuma Cover Control Concealer - I have yet to review this new concealer I received from K-Palette that is now my favourite concealer! I will review it in the next entry!
19) A pair of tweezers
20) MAC Brow Shader in Procelaine/Browning
21) Mentholatum Deep Moist Mentol Lip Moisturizer
22) Too Faced Lock Down Cream Shadow in Bondage - My favourite cream shadow that works extremely well as an eye primer
23) MAC Lipstick in Goddess
24) MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC25 - My HG liquid foundatioon
25) Skinfood Red Orange Makeup Finish (Matte Type)
26) Heroine Make Kiss Me Essence in BB Cream

That's not alot of makeup is it? I brought a liquid foundation and BB Cream because I like mixing both to give me a lighter texture.

And this is the ELF Beauty Encyclopedia Eye Edition palette. It has some lovely neutral shades huh? I will report back on how these shadows fare!
