This will be a quick update because I’m on my phone. We live just outside of Portland and have never felt more at home. We both love it here. September will be three years of marriage! Time flies. We own our home and have four cats and two dogs. No kids.
I worked for an amazing organization here in their housing and homeless department for two years. I recently quit and am technically on call until I’m done training my replacement. I can finally focus on my husband, the house and pets. And myself. I love being a stay at home wife right now.
I haven’t spoken to my mother in almost three years. Not since the wedding. Which she turned into her own shit show but luckily I was done caring and too blissfully happy enjoying my wedding day. And it was the cherry on top to finally go no contact with her. Best decision I’ve ever made. I went to counseling for about a year to help me through the ‘loss’ of my mother. I’m finally at peace and even more appreciative of my wonderful step mom and mother in law. I love them both dearly.
Other than that, not much else is going on.
