Whoa, what's that I see?....

My word, it's the sun!! For the first time in over a week, it's not raining! The sun is out!

The sun made a brief appearance last evening. We all took advantage of the very soft ground and the sun and planted our Bedlea bushes and other annuals and perrenials. Then we went for a walk around the neighborhood and met some other families with children. It was nice seeing all the kids running around and enjoying the break in the weather.

Today Jacob and I will plant our herb garden in the barrel planters that I got for Mother's day. Chris is bringing home some mulch from work so we can get the beds mulched out this weekend. I am still looking to get a small wrought iron bench for the garden as a decoration to go along with the frogs and garden gnomes and our garden boy that Chris got for me last year.

Jacob is starting to use the big boy potty. He stayed dry almost all day yesterday so I do believe we are on the right road to no more diapers.

We were invited to go fishing at our friend's house in Burlington this weekend. He has a huge pond in his backyard. The boys will love it. I love going fishing with the kids; they have such a good time. Jared expressed the interest in learning fly fishing so I think it's time I get my fly pole out and teach him how to fly fish. The lessons will have to wait a week or two though so we can wait for the streams/rivers to mellow out a bit.

Well, the bathing beauties are ready for breakfast.....
