Dave called around 930 or so. His girlfriend Jenn was flipping out again. I went right over to see what I could do (which hasn't been much in the past). She hasn't been taking her meds--again. We were finally able to get her calmed down enough to get her into my car and off to the hospital. They actually admitted her this time. The last couple times they sedated her and sent her home. I asked Dave if he thought her shrink was going to list this incident as medication non-compliance. He hopes so. So do I. Jenn was doing so damned good this last month. She was taking her Depakote and her other meds when she was suppose to. She was going to her groups. She was looking for work. Now this. I don't understand her illness enough to answer the constant question of 'why'. I'm just worried about her...and Dave. I don't know how much more Dave can take until it drives him over the edge.
We got home around 2 am or so. Of course, I haven't been able to fall asleep. Maybe after my interview today.
Oh yes. My interview. I'm interviewing for a position at the same company that Chris works for. I know, I know working with relatives, especially spouses, more oftentimes backfires. However, I won't really be working WITH Chris. Now that they will also be doing landscape construction, they need someone to plan the construction out on the computer. Making computer aided models of what the client wants and what we feel would compliment it. It will start out part time and as the season gets closer, it will go into full time. I start at the insurance company on Monday so between that and hopefully the position at Tom's, I'll be all set.
I had to replace the alternator and the windshield wiper motor on the Suburban. The alternator was seventy-five bucks and the motor was a whopping 12.50. Now if that had been the Subaru, the alternator would have run over 100 bucks and the windshield wiper motor about 30 or so. When we did the front brakes, it cost us a bank account busting 40 bucks. I think it cost 40 bucks or a little more to do EACH brake on the subaru let alone a set of brakes. As massive and old as it is, I love my suburban. I will never be able to go back to something small again.
