Getting back to it
Summer has been a rollercoaster so far. I'm not in a very prose-y mood so I'm itemizing.
1) After I pick up my last paycheck this week from Glamour Shots I am severing all ties with that corrupt and wretched organization. The Man is an asshole and I want him out of my life.
2) Last Thursday I had to put my beautiful little cat, Rosebud, to sleep. She had never been sick a day in her life and then all of a sudden she wouldn't move and was so sick. I didn't think I would be as sad as I was/am, but I have had her for 16 years....ever since I was five and to come home and not have her there was really hard. I know it was time, but it still hurts.
3) I went to Clemson for the New Plays festival. The three plays that I saw were great - in content as well as acting. The respondant was from the ONeill Theatre Festival which works to develop new plays so it was very interesting to hear his comments on the process. Of course there was much socializing and general debauchery at Nicks as well. Good times.
4) And most importantly.............SINCERELY IS GOING TO CHICAGO!!!!! We got accepted to the 2006 Around the Coyote Theatre and Performance Festival last night....apparently the judges were "blown away" by our video. Carrie Ann called me and I literally was jumping around the house screaming with excitement. Mom thought someone had died. This has been such an amazing journey and I feel so lucky that it isn't over yet. We have an absolute ton of work to do between now and September- fundraising, cutting the show down to 60 minutes, fundraising, logistics, fundraising, getting rights, and fundraising, but I mean.......professional theatre.......in Chicago.
