Well, I got back from Harlan last Friday. That was pretty fabulous. I roofed a house for this crazy old lady named Jackie who I ended up adoring. She was just the sweetest lady despite her obsession with pepper spray and guns. Somehow I grew really attached to her even though she really scared all of us at first. I mean, what kind of person starts out a conversation "I shot three people in my life." Jackie really needs work on her first impressions. But other than that, she just seemed really lonely. I hope she's doing well.
Oh! That whole week was a bit of mental torture for me. Not because of a lack of sleep, or being deprived of water, or not even being completely seperated from any sort of modern society, but the day before I left I was smart enough to start watching Nobuta wo Produce. That series is seriously amazing! Akira is LOVE. Wow, that character is sheer genius. I gotta say, I really didn't think Yamapi had that in him. But he surprised me and Nobuta wo Produce is definitely one of my favorite series. Oh, the reason it was torture was I got sucked into the story and characters and stayed up until past 6 in the morning watching all but one episode of Nobuta wo Produce. Then I figured I could easily set my alarm and wake up a little early and get ready while watching the last episode. Did that work? No. Because my alarm didn't go off. So I was in Harlan for almost a week roofing and wondering how Nobuta wo Produce was going to end. I swear I already have a life.
I also saw The King and the Clown (after I got back). It was pretty good. Lee Joon Ki deserved his big break. He's a really good actor. I couldn't get past that he was a guy for a while though.
I'm going through some Super Junior phase. I really like them. And I though 8 was a lot of boys to be in a band.
I'm in the middle of the Taiwanese series The Rose, which I downloaded for Joe Cheng. I was NOT expecting a love triange. All I read about it was what was on dramawiki, so I thought it'd be a sad, touching series. But it's so funny! And a love triangle between Ella and her two half-brothers? I was SHOCKED. Then Ella when on her whole "...GAY INCEST?!?" thing and I cracked up. I don't know how, but somehow even though it's so wrong, I love it.
Well, I'm leaving for Michigan in two days. And less than a week after I get back is my nose job. I hope it all goes well.
