Things I've learned...

...in the past year.

I've learned that not everyone that you love is going to love you back.

I've learned that not everyone that you miss is going to miss you back.

I've learned that not everyone that you feel a connection with is going to feel a connection with you.

I've also learned to not take for granted the people that do love you, miss you and have a connection with you.  They pretty much are the people that will encourage you, support you, get drunk with you, deal with a hangover with you, pick you up and dust you off.  They are the people that matter.  And the rest of them, the ones that let you down, the ones that didn't care, let them go.  And live for the ones who mean something.

Cause another thing that I've learned more this year than any other.  After having lost Misty, Susan, Nathan, Rick and Mac.  Life is short.  Sometimes it's over before you know it and it always ends before you're ready for it.

Live for yourself.  Live for the people who want to be in your life.  Who make an effort to be there.  Friendship, like marriage is a two way street.  Both people have to want it to make it work.  Stop wasting time on those people who don't care.  The people that want you to be different from who you really are, they are not your friends.  The people that tell you your not good enough, you don't need them, you are good enough.

Find your happiness and your joy and treasure it.  Nurture it.  And maybe, try spreading it around a little.  Happiness and joy that is shared is more fulfilling then you know.

:)
