Xmas Wishlist Thingamabobber
hamano_ayumi asked me on the train today if I was going to make one of these so I figured, yeah, why not?
STEP ONE
Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a ______ icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("all I want for christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV."). The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.
STEP TWO
Surf around your friends list (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use -- do it.
You need not spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf -- to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not -- it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
1. Fanfics make me squee~!
Just as long as it isn't depressing (ie. character death, etc). Um...Anything Silver Pair (PoT), TezuAto (PoT), KiriharaxSengoku (PoT), Hyotei fic, HarryxDraco (HP), YuurixWolfram (KKM), KuroPika (HxH) or MakioxSakurakouji (MBMH) would make my day. ^o^
2. Art.
Any art made for me by my friends makes me feel special. =D It could be a pairing, a character/a group of characters or even something totally random.
3. Wallpaper that actually fits my computer screen.
Seriously. I have a widescreen with a resolution of 1680 x 1050 and I can't find any good anime/jpop/video game/jdrama wallpaper that fits it. If you know of any sites that have any, that'd be awesome. *o* Or if you want to make some, that will make me sooo happy~! ^.^ I fail at making good wallpapers. T.T
4. Icons.
An icon (or more than one if you want to) just for me. It can be witty, funny, angsty, diplay an emotion, ect. :) Holiday icons rock too~ ^o^
5. Anime series/manga scans.
I've been meaning to find some good new series to read/watch. Anything you think I'd like or even just anything that you really like. I'm open to new series. ^^
I'd love you forever if you could give it to me on a burned DVD ♥
6. Cards and/or greetings are total <3. I love getting things in the mail or an email from a friend. =D
7. Anything cosplay related. ♥
8. Johnny's Stuff!
I have most of the KAT-TUN and NEWS songs, but any clips would be nice. Also, anything Tackey and Tsubasa or Kinky Kids. I was going to look into their stuff a while ago to see if it was any good, but I never got around to it. Anything from the Jr.'s would be cool too (Yah-Yah-yah, A.B.C, Question, etc).
9. Do a skit with me for Otakuthon.
I'm not sure if I'm going to participate in their masq. this year or not, but if I do, would you wanna do a skit with me? Pwease? X3 I just hope they give more than one minute like they did last year. >.<
10. Surprise me! Surprises are fun~! =DDDD
