So for those that don't know, I'm practically married to my job. Granted I've just gotten a couple of big promotions, but that still doens't mean that it stucks. It's usually that I have a great week, and then a bad week. This week is the bad week. I'm just so sick and tired of getting attitude from practically every person that walks in the door. People are so impatient, rude, and ignorant and for those who can relay the message, no waitress actually likes their job so don't be a bunch of asses and then tip like crap.
My apartment looks like a nuclear bomb when off in it, but it's not my fault! My friends and I at work have come up with the conclusion that we never want to do housework after work bc we are so tired and there is no possible way of doing it when we have a day off because the only thing we want to do is sleep bc we are so tired from working so much! So techincally, it's our bosses fault! Hmmm, I wonder if I can sucker one of them into coming over and cleaning for me!
I went on vacation to Washington, D.C. last weekend to visit Patrick and I had a great time! We did so many things over the weekend, and it was exhausting, but it was so good to get out of New England for a bit and see him!
I think I found the vacation bug along my travels. I want to go on a cruise next summer! And it's only September!!!
I've been spending whatever free time I have with my family lately, especially my grandparents! They won't be around forever! They are so funny together! They have these weird mannerisms when they are together. For example, we went out to eat a couple of weeks ago and my grandmother was putting all of the food that she wanted in a pile, which she is more that pefectly capable of doing, my grandfather reaches over and starts scraping the food towards the middle of the plate! I just looked at him, baffled at what he did, until i got his attention, where i then reply " what are you doing?" I'm helping!" He stated. "I think she is prefectly capable of doing that on her own!" Grandma pipes in, "I agree with Kim!" And my mom is just sitting there laughing! They've been married for 54 years and i guess after being together for so long, some things just develop.
I'm looking forward to October - I get to stop working like a crazy woman, pictures might actually get up on my walls, and i might even make it to go apple-picking and make fresh apple crisp! Stay tuned...
