The summer winds down...
It's the middle is august and by now, i'm pretty much used to thinking about school starting up. At least, I would be if i was actually going to school. and no, it still hasn't hit me that i'm not going back! Hell, I'm even thinking about taking a class just to give me something to do!
Anyway, I've moved in my apartment and started a 14-day working streak. Right now, I'm on day 9 and really don't want to work my double tomorrow nor any of my lunch shifts this week. I really need a day off. It has been a VERY long two days between the kitchen crashing twice in one day and the restaurant being understaffed for both lunch and dinner today. Any person who has neer worked in a restaurant, you have no idea of all the many things that could go wrong in a possible day!!
Back to the apt, i'm loving it! It's so nice to have all of the peace and quiet that I want! But it's still close enough to the things that i need. The cable and internet got hooked up along with the living room furniture! Now i just have to take a ride to grandma's art room in her house and my place will be rocking!!!
However, the downfall of just moving in and then working so much...my clothes have yet to become unpacked :( all in due time i guess...
Ok, i really miss telling you all about the cab drama...there is no cab drama...cabs don't exist in my life anymore.
I think i should start telling you about work drama...there is certainly enough there to keep you entertained! I'll try to throw the backline stories in there bc that probably is what makes them so funny!
Today, i managed to cut three different fingers - two with plates and one with my stupid nails :( Today, my favorite co-worker was serving on a table and he happens to be gay. Anyway, the table he was waiting on said to him "My daughter is starting here next week! Are you single? I like you!" haha So apparently the lady needs to learn gay-dar or something because the server is too obviously gay.
I love when people come in and ask whether or not the boneless buffalo wings are made from real buffalo. I have a hard time choking back the stupid line of "yes, they are made from the real stuffed bufflo head that hangs in he bar!" Hey, ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer!
My percentages dropped to 43% this week..
A.) I'm not a happy camper!
B.) If one more stupid little undisclipined kid tries demanding bread or dessert once more, I think i might just flip out..there is only so much patience that a person can have.
C.) I don't like large parties (p.s. if anyone comes in a party bigger than 4 and i don't know you, you can't blame me for not warning you! i only want large parties if i know the people. Also, don't bring your little couins, nieces or nephews, ot kid brothers or sisters, and if you have to, MAKE SURE THEY KNOW THEIR MANNERS!!!
I went into work today in the worse mood that I've been in a long time..Ever just not want to be somewhere and you have to be? Yah, it was one of those moods today, and i'm a fairly nice person usually in a good mood, but after working last night, no server in their right mind should of had to work today! I get a pin today that says " Awesome Attitude!" Go figure! Irony does work in mysterious ways sometimes!
Ok, i need sleep...hopefully i don't start to dream about work...that is the worst!!:/
