Ho Hum and I were laughing today about our trip to the beach at the end of sophomore year. It was really nice to sit and talk about old memories cause inevitably you are reminded about something you'd pretty much forgotten about (and the more specific, the better ( Read more... )

the first time i really went anywhere with kristina and kimmie, whitewater falls. i always wanted to take the group back out there for a day, but we never did. that's ok though, cause we did plenty of other fun outdoor stuff. that was a good little trip, when yall first invited me i was like, whoa, a daytrip to the woods with two girls... and i really had a great time.

our trip to brevard. waking up early and looking outside at the horses in the distance. learning how to "dance" from chris as we threw our own party. and of course the spooky-as-hell robe that we put in matt's bed. mystery dinner... and the obligatory cross-dressing occurrence. and learning a lot about my friends on that trip.

swimming in the reflecting pond, trying to get the best of kimmie and never quite being able to. kimmie, you're a hoss, and i mean that in the most loving way.

dart gun wars in the basement, on all the floors. simple total conquest style and further variations like "diffuse the bomb," "VIP," "hostage," and the spy one where each team had a double agent. we had some awesome games and some even better moments. there's nothing quite like dodging a hail of nerf darts fired from 10 round/s machineguns.

late night saturday in matt's room, on that little couch that hated to be sat on... hated it so much it virtually pushed us off every night. roger lodge, that leather-jacket-wearing, fake-tan-having, no talent ass-clown. soul calibur. kilik vs hwang... a battle for the ages. and watching all those horribly awesome ninja movies as the girls invariably fell asleep in "lesbian moments." convincing matt and kyle (and boniel too?) to buy polyeurethane (sp?) jackets to wear to our viewing of T1 and T2. video game nights. and the boys' night out that ended with officer mustache and his female companion being superceeded by an old man sherrif who had the sensibility to confess to us that he too had once been young.

filming anything and everything with matt. sometimes it was tiring and sometimes it went on way longer than any of us expected. but i wouldnt trade a minute of it for a minute of anything else in the world. filming at caesar's head, NC... the ninja death counter, the lost footage due to the shinanigans of mike. rolling tires down the freaking huge hill. exploring down there and not really knowing how to get back up to the car.

the break trip we took to NC the second time. hide and go seek in the dark. with brian calling out "BRAAAAINS" every time poor deidra passed him by. kimmie and mike risking their life on the rafter, vexing my every attempt to find them. walking up the road with kyle one morning and visiting a grave yard up there.

dinner at harcombe, watching the tetris happen whenever a person or two left the table and everyone slid down. having a seat next to kristina all the time, even before i knew what it meant. that god aweful food that got better for steak/shrimp night about once a month. walking in the cafeteria for dinner or cookie break with 20 friends. the only other groups that big were the greeks, and we didnt even have to pay for the pleasure of each others' company.

i think matt's right about the moments never really being the same again. i can see it when i visit. decentralization is the killer. in some ways i'm lucky that i left when i did. i had the best two years of my life with you guys, and it got better every minute.
