Avon Walk for Breast Cancer 2009
We came, we walked, we raised $5,400+. This walk was much better than last year's in terms of us getting through it. We had a prior walk under our belts, knew what to expect, and could enjoy ourselves more fully. We were able to make good decisions about how far to push ourselves and not be heroes (who ended up crippled) like last year. We enjoyed the gorgeous weather on Saturday and an awesome walk through Our City.
We walked 13 miles on Saturday and I was proud of every step. Sunday we decided to recuperate (and not end up injured) instead of walking. I am proud of what we did, what we raised for Breast Cancer Awareness and Research, and our continued commitment to ending this disease. Thank you to everyone who supported me and donated to Team Joan of Heart. We love you and appreciate all of your love!
