Ep 6.12 - Finally!!
I got home right as Show was starting. I watched the teaser with my coat on. Sure, I could have just paused the DVR til I got myself sorted, but my boyz were RIGHT THERE ON MY TV! LIVE!! Yay!!
This was a different viewing experience for me. I didn't have access to my laptop, so I knew this would be a fandomless, truly solo trip. It was kind of refreshing. No wondering about fan reaction or searching for insta reactions or such. Just watching and enjoying and letting it all sink in. Watched Fringe after, and then had a second highlight watch of the boyz before bed.
I pretty much loved it. A few random things:
OMG! The hug! A serious Mystery Spot-esque hug from Sammy. And it WAS Sammy! I squee'd and squee'd and squee'd.
Sam ATE FOOD on camera!
Puppy dog!Sam! I've missed you so so much.
Dean is NOT King Arthur. "You rocks think you're so smart." Demonlition!Dean FTW! Poor sword. Hee.
Cas can be a real dick!
Bobby's got an ex! I loved her! I hope we see her again, or at least hear more about that relationship. The actress seemed really familiar. What do I know her from??
Dean? Have you learned nothing from lying and avoiding the truth, even though good intended. I'm glad Sam found out the scoop and Show didn't go down that easy and annoying path with The Sekrit.
Sam is now on the path to self forgiveness. I hope Dean shares some insights on his own self healing and dealing with his hell experience. I know remembering hell is... hell, but not remembering the horrible things you know you did must be its own hell. What I don't want is mopey guilt ridden Sam for the rest of the season.
Dean seemed so... I don't know? Relaxed? A little lighter? Relieved? Whatever it was, it was nice to see. Seeing the boyz mostly back in sync really emphasized how screwed up they've been. It really affected me seeing them together again. Oh, boyz.
I wish they had done more with the dragons, but I figured the meat of the ep had to be on the boyz. It was an interesting premise. Bummer.
I found it weird that Sam didn't ask if the plan worked. He didn't ask about Lucifer or Adam.
The mother of all monsters? Sounds intriguing. I'm in.
I need to go exercise. Got no excuse not to. Then do some shopping for Hana. I'm gonna see her little face IN PERSON in 2 weeks! Can't wait!!
