Life in the fast lane is about celebrating New Year's one day and sitting at your computer on 31 January wondering where the hell the first month of 2010 went. It's about how time flies, it's about how in just a few more blinks of the eye the year will be up. You get the point.
I thought it'd be good to do a recap of the year so far:
- I snapped out of my post-Christmas crazy and am not dragging myself to work anymore (unless I sleep at 2am)
- I got a financial wake up call - always apply the theory of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Needs before wants, needs before wants!
- I started posting more regularly on kimmer12
- I have gotten the hang of wearing two hats: work and Penny's Daybook
- I'm happy to say that Penny's Daybook is doing a-ok
- I've committed to waking up 45 minutes earlier three times a week to do yoga before work
- I am sick of the food around my office so I wonder what I'm going to do for another year or so
- Haikal is still the love of my life
- Someone gave us a cordless phone for the home so we don't have to use our old phone which really felt like using a pay phone!
- I accept that people will come and go and there's nothing you can do about it
- I've had to lecture my brother about respect twice
- I visited the National Museum of Singapore alone once for the fun of it and actually enjoyed myself
- I'm a bit more social media savvy
- I still can't spell "savvy" without spell check
- I still think lists make for lazy writing but they get the job done quicker
So that has been 2010 for me. And you?
