disney: resto's

Went to 3 restaurants for the first time in disney. 3 of different categories. an overview.

- fast food: Hakuna Matata. For years that restaurant was always closed, I wondered why. Now it is open again. it is counter service, so you get your food at the counter and then look for a seat to eat. We had a veal and fowl kebab, and it wasn't bad. the setting was nice. lion king music, african decor, cozy. so if we want something fast, we will probably go there again.

- buffet style restaurant: Restaurant des stars. this one is in the movie park. on your time table it said there was a show with remy from ratatouille. I was curious about that, so we went there for lunch. the setting: it looked more like a refectory, so not cozy at all. the food: nothing special, and not that good. Only with dessert there were some good things. the "show": a woman in cook's clothing came with a trolley with a plate with cover on. when she opened the cover there was remy, an electronics doll that moved a bit. then she went round the whole restaurant and that was the show of half an hour. okayyyy. we are never going back there.

- table service restaurant: Walt's. This one was very good. we are definitely going back. It is rather hidden: in the middle of main street is the entrance, the restaurant itself is upstairs, so above all the shops. it is made up of a lot of small rooms, which makes it cozy. in our room there were two tables for four persons, and four for two persons. on the walls there are a lot of pictures from Walt's life. the staff is very friendly. and the food was yummy. as a starter we both had goats cheese with pesto and grilled vegetables and tomato confit. served beautifully, the eye got spoiled too. as a main, Wim got steak bearnaise with waffle fries and I got chicken with a marsala sauce and potatoes with thyme and vegetables mix. yum yum yum. no more room for dessert.
