Being chatty today, but...
I did a review on Interesting Fodder of an iPhone comic, Fallen Justice. The responses I got from the comic creator and publishing company have been outstanding and super uplifting. One of the creative folks on the project is also creating his own comic (released issue #0 Saturday) and will be doing some iPhone comics. His email to me after he read my review started with "Kim, I was very impressed with your coverage of Fallen Justice" and then he sent me his comic for a review (will do tonight). And another prop "Great review, thanks a lot for the coverage!" and the company publishing it to the iphone put this comment on Interesting Fodder: "Thanks Interesting Fodder, as the publisher of Fallen Justice #1 on the iPhone I could not help but notice you really spent some time looking over our new iPhone app. Your readers must appreciate this kind of a thoroughness even more than we do."
Yeah, I'm tooting my own horn here: But wow! I'm really excited that people are liking my work - even if it is just reviews. Will be working on another review plus an editorial on the state of digital comics. If you saw my last LJ entry or my FB status update, you know I'm debating spending a whole weekend secluded and writing. I think I need to prop meeself up with the stuff I'm good at. And fish for more compliments because I'm an acceptance-whore: or just because I love writing. You pick.
