I got my permit!! I'm so glad I passed that dumb test on the first try. Would've been mortified if I hadn't.
They had me sign a paper and do a vision test. Then we waited, they called my number, and I signed more papers. Then the lady told me what computer to use, and I started the test.
The road rules test was a little hard because there was some questions that I don't remember being in the book. But the signs test was easy. I got 4 wrong on the first test. If you get more than 5 wrong - you FAIL! That was close... On the signs test I got like 1 wrong. Something about a divided highway.
After the test was over they took my picture and gave me the permit. The picture is ok. I like my expression, but my hair looks kinda dumb. I really need to get it cut again.
Dad's taken me driving 2 times now around the neighborhood. It's been... interesting. It didn't really seem like I was driving it a times. Just kind of like I was watching it go by itself. Maybe that's because I tend to zone off really easily. A lot of times people tell me to pay attention to what's going on!
I haven't hit anything major yet like a car or a tree... so that's good. I kept hitting the brake too hard the first time and the second time when I was going around a curb I hit it pretty hard, but that's about it as far as bad mistakes. So far I've gone up to about 30 MPH.
School's started up again. BLAH. :p
The family reunion went okay. I don't really know a lot of my relatives that well since they live so far away, but I got to know my cousin Kayla a little bit. (she's 15 too) We mostly sat around and talked or ate, but the second day we went to this pool in the community that my Uncle Jack lives in (the reunion was at his house). It felt soooo good to swim. I hadn't been swimming in ages. Here in GA. we're like 3 hours from the beach, and I don't know of any pools nearby.
