So I am in Belgrade at the moment! It's nice, but I am not in a party kind of mood lately and this is kind of party city, so it isn't grabbing me. I took a walk today and saw a huge orthodox church, ate some pancakes, and saw some bomb sites. It was really pretty this morning, it had snowed the night before and everything was dusted with white, and these giant, fluffy snowflakes were landing everywhere. The temperature was just cold enough to make my cheeks rosy, but dry, so I wasn't cold being outside. Everyone was walking about with umbrellas and, between the clumps of snow falling and the colourful shapes that everyone was milling about under, the city became rather pretty.
Unfortunately, by about 1:30 the snow had become wetter, things started to melt, and the air got damp. I got really cold, so spent about half an hour in the small Applied Arts Museum, bought a book at a store, and came back to the hostel.
Currently I am waiting to go to the train station, as I am taking an overnight train into Bulgaria. I figured I would go to Plovdiv for a couple of nights, then spend a couple more nights in Sofia, then make my way to the town of Voditsa, where I will be help-exing for like, 2 or 3 weeks? (Depends on how I like it there). I wish I could spend more time in Serbia, but I am meeting the family on the 12th of March. So I should probably get to Bulgaria!
