I don't know about racism, but jealousy over the fact that Shilpa actually has talent probably sparked a lot of it. Out of all the people being nasty to her, only Jo had done something of even vague merit, and that was some time ago.
I don't know about Jade, but Jackiey certainly seems to possess some cunning: I read in the Times last week that she'd used her daughter's fame to get her flat done up on one reality show and got £30,000 worth of plastic surgery done for free on another one. Given Jade's rumoured to be worth something in the region of 8 million quid, that's a bit cheeky.
That's another thing. I think Jackiey *was* being racist to Shilpa - refusing to *try* and pronounce someone's name correctly despite being told it's offending the person in question! I wonder if this behaviour - and feud contributed to Jade attempting to be "loyal" to her mother after her (to Jade) upsetting eviction.
Jackiey had tried repeatedly, and failed, to pronounce Shilpa's name; she was clearly frustrated by it, and then became upset because she was embarrassed when Shilpa wouldn't allow the nickname "honey" (or any other nickname) instead. During her eviction interview, she said she often had problems with names, and basically proved that

There was a lot of contempt. It is also worth remebering how much contempt Jade has recieved, very publically, since her first BB experience. Shilpa it seems has never dealt with conflict like this, especially not with raised voices. It really did not need to happen, and yet was inevitable. I rather expect they will talk post CBB, and clear things at least between each other. Danielle I hope will fade to obscurity.
As for Jackiey getting free stuff... I don't see anything wrong with it, and it certainly is not at all unusual for money to be more unnecessary when you have enough of it, expecially when mixed with some influence, some use, like celebrity.
Leo however, oh dear. He really took "But I'm a celebrity!" to a new, lower level.

I'm not saying there's anything necessarily wrong with her getting this stuff (although I think the idea of giving people who don't need it free cosmetic surgery is pretty shoddy and a waste of licence fees) beyond it being a little socially unjust. Like you said, the more famous and wealthy you get, the less you end up paying for things anyway.
However, I still think she's a stupid cow who needs a sound beating.

He kept on and on about being a celebrity, and what counted as celebrity, and how celebrity meant celebrated, and who in the house was therefore a celebrity and who was not, and then he walked out because BB would not give him more pants and he refussed to wash his own.
"Thunder in my Heart," which I've still not heard yet. He's that pocket-sized one with the perm, isn't he? Meh, I think I saw him in some spoof of the Cannonball Run involving the Angel of the North, and he seemed quite good in that.

Just a little correction -- her plastic surgery was paid for by a commercial cable / satellite channel, one that can't even be gotten on Freeview, so no licence fees went towards it. IIRC the BBC receives most of the licence fees with ITV, Channel 4, and Five getting smaller chunks.

Yup. Personally, I have far more issue with Brangelina being given $100,000+ worth of baby goods than with Jackiey Goody getting a few free things.

I was going to claim that maybe Jackiey, being from London, doesn't seem as lofty and distant as Brad & Angelina, so it makes it seem a bit closer. Only problem with that is that I went to the same school as one of Angelina's ex-hubbies.
