A/N: For Key's birthday present. (I know Key hates to run, but I made him like running in this fic teehee :b)
Key likes to run.
Key likes to run in the early morning, along the river, whereby he can see the households in Seoul slowly getting awake and prepare for a new dawn, a new beginning. He doesn't mind running on the streets during the hot mid-afternoon either, feeling the sweat trickle down his face was an awesome feeling, signalling that he was doing his best. He absolutely adores running in the evening at the secluded park beside their dorm, where he could see young and old couples alike holding hands and strolling. He would envy them.
Key likes to run with Onew. He likes the fact that both of them have the same pacing, neither one is too fast or too slow. He thinks that Onew is freaking cute, the way he runs does resemble a chicken... Key shook his head and reminded himself to ban him from fried chicken. Onew loved to make random comments about random passers-by while running, like pointing out that that old lady had weird fashion sense and that young kid is such a wannabe, causing Key to crack up.
Key likes to run with Jonghyun. He likes the fact that he could actually beat someone at running, Jonghyun was slow as a snail. After running for a short distance, Jonghyun would already be huffing and puffing, and Key always took this oppurtunity to run smugly ahead. Adding insult to injury, he would always turn his head and shout, "Someone's too short so his legs are short and he can't run fast~", causing Jonghyun to redden and speed up.
Key likes to run with Minho. The first time they ran together, he was very nervous. Minho was famous for his running skills and Key was scared that he would be left in the dust of... his shoes. However, to his ultimate gratefulness, Minho paced himself carefully beside Key. Although no words were spoken throughout the run, Key felt appreciation for the younger boy as they ran together, for he knew Minho could have overtook him by a lap now.
Key likes to run with Taemin. Taemin would be all hyped up and ready to run, causing Key to double up with laughter without fail. Taemin would comment on every single thing he saw, and asked plenty of questions that Key couldn't answer. "Why is the sky blue?" "Why do people sneeze?" "Why do people like to hold hands?" Key just smiled at Taemin, he made his run so much more interesting.
Key likes to run, but he loves running with SHINee even more.
Key likes to nag.
Key likes to nag at everyone and anyone. He likes to remind people about what they should do and what they shouldn't do, he was a perfectionist. He likes everything to go exactly the right way, and for that to happen, he has to nag.
Key likes nagging at Onew. He likes the pout Onew gives when Key nags at him to stop his fried-chicken frenzy. "You're gonna grow so fat and big that you're going to have difficulty dancing for our next comeback." "You're gonna grow into a chicken." Onew just shrugs and fished his hand into the big bucket of chicken and nommed happily, earning more nags.
Key likes nagging at Jonghyun. He likes the back-hug Jonghyun gives him to shut him up when Key nags at him. "Stop singing when you eat dinosaur, it's not healthy." "Sleep with your eyes closed, it's creepy." Jonghyun just sighs and gives him a back-hug, causing Key to feel all fuzzy inside but he still continues to nag at Jonghyun.
Key likes nagging at Minho. He likes the embarrassed smile Minho gives him when Key nags at him. "Dude, you have to stop being so competitive over sports. Now all the fans know your true colours after you knocked Shindong down during the Idol Sports Day!" "Minho, you should speak up more during variety shows!" Minho just hides by flashing an embarrassed smile and runs to his room, causing Key to yell-nag instead of just nagging. (Which earns complaints from many.)
Key likes nagging at Taemin. He likes the squishy face Taemin gives when Key nags at him. "Taemin ah, stop being so nice to noonas, the dongsaengs need more love too!" "I'm your umma! You should let me pack lunch for you to bring to school." Taemin just reacts naturally with a squishy and scrunched up face, causing Key to smile, but he still continues to nag and nag and nag.
Key likes to nag, but he loves nagging at SHINee even more.
Key likes to cook.
Key likes to cook for anybody who appreciates his cooking. He likes to keep recipes of food and pastry, and when he's free he likes to create and make up his own recipes which is often a success.
Key likes to cook for Onew. Even if Onew's beloved is apparently only chicken, Onew still makes an effort to try whatever Key cooks. Key likes to cook chicken for Onew, steamed chicken, fried chicken, boiled chicken, whatever. Although he himself disapproves of him eating too much chicken, deep in his heart he still likes the cute Onew look when he eats the chicken Key specially cooks just for him.
Key likes to cook for Jonghyun. Jonghyun is like some malnourished dinosaur, and Key likes to tease him, "Why do you eat so much but yet you're so short?" Key likes the way Jonghyun swallows the food he specially cooks just for him, and when he praises the cooking Key feels like honey. Sweet as honey.
Key likes to cook for Minho. Although Minho keeps quiet and eats quietly too, he never fails to smile at Key after finishing eating, and Key knows that he's saying thank you and Minho knows that Key's saying welcome. Minho enjoys the food that Key specially cooks just for him, enjoys it a little too much.
Key likes to cook for Taemin. Taemin keeps whining about him looking stupid bringing a lunchbox to school, but Key insist on cooking for him. Taemin blushes and complains, but when he takes the lunchbox over from Key he felt a sense of warmness about the food that Key specially cooks just for him.
Key likes to cook, but he likes cooking for SHINee even more.
Key likes to celebrate birthdays.
Key likes to celebrate birthdays, so that everyone knows that it's his day, his special day. He likes the fact that he's getting older and wiser, although some may say that age doesn't represent intelligence but who cares?
Key likes to celebrate his birthday with not Onew, not Jonghyun, not Minho and not Taemin. He likes to celebrate it together with all four of them together, and when they celebrate, Key is Kibum and Onew is Jinki, and they're not SHINee. They're just like ordinary young adults, having the time of their life partying at the dorm. Key likes Onew's eye smile to him as he opens the bottle of champagne, he likes how casually Jonghyun slings his arm over his shoulder and whispers happy birthday into his ear, he likes how awkward Minho is around him and his beautiful smile when he shows the presents and how Taemin sat on his lap the whole time.
Key likes to celebrate birthdays, but what are his birthdays without SHINee? Nothing.
