Lets just say, the dinosaurs where scheduled to be wiped out as early as they were... Apparently Lucy really wasn't that into him..
Eh, Gabriel thought with a shrug, Lucy was always a baby when it came to emotions. Probably good he'd never returned Gabe's fleeting feelings.
But now, well this was different, Gabriel had gone and done something forbidden, not to mention stupid. He'd fallen in love with a human. Not that forbidden and stupid had ever stopped him before.
Taking a deep breath he snapped his fingers and flew himself onto the couch right next to the giant Winchester and gave the shocked looking man a huge smile.
"Hi ya Sammy boy" he said happily.
"Whatcha doing all alone on such a lovely romantic day as this?" He asked, not waiting for an answer. "Well now I'm here it doesn't matter anyway. Lets play romance Sammy, you deserve to have Valentines day like anyone else. So I am here to give you the best one ever!"
Sam stared at Gabriel in shock before shaking his head and slumping back down on the sofa.
"Just go fuck whoever or whatever you have waiting for you somewhere Gabe, I'm not in the mood to put up with tricks and fake Valentines days." Sam muttered.
Gabriel frowned for a second before throwing off the fake happy, carefree Gabriel and fixed Sam with honest eyes, showing for once, that this time he wasn't just playing.
"Sammy" he murmured softly, "Look at me for a moment, got something to tell you. If you still want me to leave after, I will. Ok?"
Sam glanced at Gabriel, and was locked onto his eyes immediately, he could see the Gabriel he'd only ever seen a few times. And again he was shocked by how breathtaking the arch angel was. Power and emotion and beauty.
"Ok" he whispered.
"Let me give you Valentines day Sam, the way it should be celebrated. Please, you deserve to be happy, to be loved."
Sam stared at him, shocked and unsure. Because as far as he knew, he didn't deserve shit, and he certainly wasn't loved... or... was he? Did Gabriel....
"Sammy?" Gabriel was holding something out too him, a small heart shaped box.
Sam reached out with a shaking hand and took hold of the box.

There was a small card and he thumbed it open, reading it quietly, a sharp inhale of breath his only reaction for a moment before he raised his eyes to Gabriel's.
"It's true you know Sammy, No tricks, I promise." The arch angel whispered, moving slowly ever closer too Sam.
Sam's breath almost stopped as he felt warm lips press so tenderly to his own, and he pressed gently forward into Gabriel's lips, heart ready to explode out of his chest.
I love you, Be my Valentine Sammy
Sam ran his thumb over the words on the cards as he continued to kiss his angel, this was by far the best Valentines day ever.
He smiled softly too himself and drew the angel closer, wrapping himself around him. Deepening the kiss.
