(no subject)
Right, end of my first week and i am SO FUCKING TIRED! CRIKEY!
Went to a friends house to roast marshmallows on Wednesday which was pretty pathetic as even with a good amount of white spirit we couldnt get a decent fire going XD then on the way home at 11pm I got lost on my bike which strangely enough didnt scare me, was just an annoyance. Found my way back ok though, and all by myself too :)
Was meant to go to London on Thursday to the Tate, however an accident on the road caused the buses to be 2 hours late so i decided to go to Lulworth Cove to do some sketching instead. Was really nice relaxing day except it was unbearabley hot! I did one sketch then went to hide in the shade with Claire for the rest of the time and I STILL got a sunburnt arm! >_<
Friday we all had to be screened to see if we had learning disabilities and apparently I have some indications of dyspraxia and have to take another test to see if I do. I probably dont but either way I dont care, been getting by fine so whats the diff? Also had to do final large images of our tower of babels on A3/A2 (not sure which) paper which was pretty cool. we had lto do them in like...10 mins! crazy! Anyway heres mine:
My tutor said they were really good drawings but I need to try and break away from the rules that were set for me in Alevels and go crazy and experiment more which I completely agree with so I will try my hardest to get my old art teachers voice outta my head >_<
Went out into the city centre friday night with a couple of girls on my course:
Had a good time overall, regardless of the fact that the shite pop/RnB/hiphop music made my ears want to cry (much to the girls amusement) but they seemed to enjoy it:
Luckily they want to go to a metal place with me so we are going to check out a metal nightclub called Sound circus. Lot of good music apparently and events! Should be a laugh. Crazy how many chavvy/street guys try and hang out with you like theyve known you for years and just try and talk to you, even ones as old as my dad *shudder* not like going out in g-town at all. Had to ignore some foreign guys trying to chat me up on the bus, even though i could feel them breathing down my neck *shudders again*. Still, even though i had a good time i was still thinking "I wish i was with MY friends", I miss them loads :(
Went to work for my first day on yesterday, nothing interesting to report there really. Like Grantham but everythings in diff places and couple of things you do diff. Co-workers are metal which is a plus. Then got picked up by my cousin (whos band Im trying to get together with Root) and his wife who showed my all his old haunts and then we went to my aunts for a bbq, where i stayed the night and had a soak in a PROPER SHOWER!! YEEEEES!!! Laughing to xfactor was hilarious, love spending time with family. Also saw all the official wedding photos in a fantastic display book! They were gorgeous! Even this one of mes good:
Todays just been lazy, recouperating for the week of head of nakedness in life drawing classes >_<
