1590s bodice top.
Just a note to my self. Because of the pics in Ninya's page for her 1590 blue gown (the one with the pretty embroidery), I should make my bodice have a square necked opening, not a doublet style. Her pics show the blue gown with the ruff both open and closed, and when closed, I can't tell that it is a square necked opening.
