Quick post

Just wanted to post that the pattern has been drafted, cleaned up, and cut out. I will work on creating the mockup after dinner.

I do want to say I love my metal French curve, that I got from Connie Crawford at her local workshop a few years ago. Makes smoothing out curves a lot easier than hand sketching. You can find it on this page. It works better for me than the old plastic one I had bought from the local fabric store.

eta: Also, a good clear plastic gridded ruler helps a lot, too. You can find them from office or art specialty stores to Connie's page, to the quilt department of a regular fabric store. Excellent for marking almost exact measurements, like seam allowances or just to use as a handy straight edge. I have them in two sizes... one 18"x2" and one at about 6"x1".
