Gokusen 2 vs Gokusen 3: A Comparison in Screencaps

Oct 21, 2009 22:09

What follows is proof that I am too easily amused the writers and producers of Gokusen stopped trying long ago.

This post is full of screencaps.

Before we begin, let me get past the obligatory, "Oh hey! It's Yankumi beating up Kamen Rider Knight!" screencap:

*grins*

(The rest of the flail doesn't involve Kamen Riders, so it's safe for you guys to click the cut!)
(Spoilers for episode 7 of Gokusen 3 and episodes 3 and 10 of Gokusen 2.)

This would be even more awesome if my copy of Gokusen 2005 had subtitles because even a lot of the dialogue is the same, but just go with it.

I forgot to cap this in Gokusen 2005, but just think back to episode three, where Hayato and the gang run into Kudo and Kudo's all, "Ryu, you hated school, didn't you?"

Half of our Dynamic Duo disagrees!

Group response: Eh?!

The other half also disagrees! With an adorable smile!

Our bad guy leaders are not amused.

The bad guys surround our heroes!

Formation B!

To quote Monty Python... "Run away!"

Later on...

Our hero gets a phone call from his boyfriend.

But it's actually the bad guy leader!

Quick! To the rescue!

Victim(s) found!

And even later, still, our bad guys are beating up our heroes in an abandoned warehouse.

The leaders feel particularly violent.

The boyfriends are not pleased.

Luckily, Yankumi arrives just in time.

More than the bad acting, this is why I dislike Gokusen 3. Everything is a copy of the first two seasons. I was going to do a similar screencap comparison with the ending credits of all three series (and I still might if I'm bored enough or if anyone's interested), but while watching episode seven of series 3, I had to stop (IN THE MIDDLE OF THE EPISODE) and put this post together. It was too... tempting? Aggravating? I don't know.

But now it's time to go be productive before bed.

kamen rider, dragon knight, ryuuki, gokusen 3: they just didn't care, gokusen: starring everyone ever, gokusen
