Day three: 28 October 2010 Part 2
After shopping for presents for families and friends, we went back to Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT to go to Taipei for Taipei 101!
Cute mascots of Metro Family!
Chaos inside the mrt station O_O/
useful signage so we won't get lost
We keep our shopping bags in a locker (3hrs for S$0.40!) and walk to Taipei 101
Taipei 101 in a distance
There's a event at the mall, if you answer the host's question correctly, you get a gift.
The walking distance is not far, we just got distract by sight seeing (^_^;) Hey Neo, I didn't know you owe a building XD
We pass by a movie theater and they actually screen anime movies! But their movie ticket is quite expensive at S$14 ? Strangely we got stop by 2 people asking for direction. Boyfriend is so proud he know the map and answer them confidently . xD
Finally we reach the Taipei 101 mall, it reminds me of ION, lots of branded shops.
Ticket at NT$400/ S$17.50, there's a long queue! It didn't take long though. There's are shopping vouchers for restaurant etc
I was scare the rainy weather might ruin the scenery but I was wrong.
We cannot go to the observatory because it's raining =(
We also pass by a shop selling precious stones and jades while leaving the tower. It's hard not to be amaze by the amazing details and handiwork of the jewelry and art pieces.
We took the free shuttle bus back to MRT and head to Houshanpi Station for WuFenPu garment market!
I was a little disoriented by the area, maybe I'm tired from the MaoKong walk but I was feeling a bit bleh.
I keep swooning at the pets , it's so cute that the owners bring their pets to their shop. It's also crazy how motorcycles can nagivate into the already cramp market. I'm not very good at bargining and feel I only stop small, most of the prices start at NT$390 and I ask for NT$350/ S$15, ah well, at least the pricing is cheaper than Singapore!
We head back to Ximendeng, place our bags of shopping in hotel and head out again to explore the shopping district!
The oyster omelet is different from Singapore =/
Deep fried sweet potato balls, quite normal
Quail eggs... OMG THIS IS YUMMY! I dunno how they make it so yummy, it's just eggs, seaon with salt and pepper.
Deep fried mushroom is delicious too!
I didn't take photos but food is not the only thing sold on the streets, there are also vendors selling clothing, phones accessories, cute notebooks etc etc
