I watch Liar Game the final stage. Prior to this, I read the manga. Even though the artwork is not as pretty and I don't really understand the story (^_^;;) but I like the feeling of Nao and Akiyama team work to defeat greedy villains!
A movie that makes you think but I wonder if can people guess the outcome correctly before Akiyama explain? XD Definitely not Baka Gin ||| oTL Rating (4/5 stars)
1) Before the movie start, this trailer was shown. Look so scary!!! It's like final destination! Teens begin kill left and right |||oTL
2) At first I thought the movie is wayyyy too long at 2 hrs + but I hang on every single minute of the movie and crave for more. Why does good times pass so fast!?
3) As I read the manga, it took me a while to get used to the character
Manga Nao: Short hair plain Jane
Movie Nao: Very beautiful fashionable idol XD
Manga Akiyama: Stoic white hair baby face
Movie Akiyama: More emotional black hair adult
Manga Yokayo: EVILLLLL black hair makes-you-want-to-punch-him-ugly-face, always killing his pet mice.
Movie Yokoyo: A Savior white hair guy? Is he the same actor as the evil butler in mei chan no shitsuji!?
So sad, don't have Fukunaga =(
4) As my boyfriend watch the drama liar game, we compare the drama and manga and I didn't know most of the games in drama =/
5) Speaking of point no 2 , I got a shock of Movie Akiyama thrashing it out and kicking furniture. Even in the manga I remember he is the calm one.
6) The movie filming style is so dramatic and anime! Even a opening of door can have lots of camera angle shoots, panning and zoom in/ out XD I keep loling when the camera zoom in and out of character face.
7) Can I have a gold apple? =3
8) I like the cartoon illustration when they explore their option what to do XD
9) Thumbs up to person-in-charge of wardrobe!! The characters have such cute and such colorful variety of costumes! I like the gold jump suit (Yukina?) and Sentou look suave in his smart spectacle, blue blazer and scarf! There's even a 60s style character in a colorful dress, blue tights and retro hair band/ earrings! I think you need to be very confident to pull off a shimmering gold jump suit XD
10) Akiyama so smart! He's already 2 steps ahead of enemy thinking!
11) I don't quite understood Person X, one of the short hair agent who is in charge of the final game, mention something like ,"They haven't discover the agent that is planted." So makes it sounds like Person X is working for the Liar Game ? But when the Person X is reveal and end up in a debt, he start yelling and thrashing in defeat. ... but isn't he the one of the staff of Liar game
12) I love the comedic timing of the actors, so funny!
13) stay till the end of credit to see a extra scene
14) Who cares about rich tycoon who got too much money to spend and set up such a game just so that they can have a gambling session!? Yeah for trust and honestly!
You know... sometimes it sucks to be a adult, instead of going "Wow!Cool storyline, fantasy land etc" you go Wow, Cool CG / Acting / Studio set up!" oTL it's like instead of accepting the movie as it is, I went to think how they flim it =3=
On a side note, I LOL at this commerical. My brother say the pink hair person is a guy, is it real!?
