Had to swerve out of the way to avoid hitting Mr Skunk on 202. He was unconcerned, merely did a u-turn back to the shoulder of the road. Not even a twitch of his tail, which was dragging behind him ( Read more... )

one of my tech breeds english cockers and i am constantly surrounded by pups and adults of all ages and sizes - right now we have a litter of 3 week olds and she also has one 6 month old pup she held back.

needless to say, rah thinks that he is an english cocker and he adores them all.

I'm not sure how reliable the information about spotted/hooded vs. striped in NH is; I haven't found anything on a .gov page about it, so I am skeptical.

Beagle-sized but why not a beagle? The baying? Is a pug too small? Pugs are freakin awesome and plentiful in rescue, all ages. Shibas and JRs are lively and smart. You might consider something like a JR but not as popular/overbred - like a fox or rat terrier. Wire hair foxes are pretty stinkin adorable in a 1930s sort of way.

Bad memories about beagles, she had to feed hundreds of them in vet school for med research before she quit because of it.
I'll suggest terriers. I recommended a schnauzer because I like them, but she probably wants something cuter.

hahahahahahah I grew up with schnauzers, so I did not recommend them - on purpose. OH THE BARKING

Are Bostons too short-nosed for the activity level she wants? I love them.

I so love miniatures. I have a dollhouse kit that I have great ideas for. I'm way better at ideas than the actual doing.

I'd love to see your dioramas. Do it! Uh, please.

Hahahahah I had a feeling that you might respond to that part!

I have some cool wooden drawers that I have been keeping back to use as freestanding 'rooms' but I have to strip the paint off the fronts (which will now be the bases.) Andy's been crabbing that I've kept them around, so I feel quite triumphant to put them to a use!
