I went to get my hair cut today, and by the time I was sitting in the chair and the lady was asking me what to do, I still hadn't decided. Then I just said cut it short, and now it really looks similar to the picture here on my live journal. I cut 5 inches off. But, whoa. I think I like it, I am still deciding, but you know it always takes a while to get used to a new hair cut.
I am a certified lifeguard now. The aquatics director at the mac, really wanted to help me out in finding a job when I thought that I couldn't work as a coach anymore. Because of the PSU synchro thing, But, synchro drama has kicked in and UNFORTUNATELY the team isn't happening. Which means I have more time for campus ministry, friends, homework, work ext. But, I am also really sad because I was looking forward to swimming again. But, I do have the option of swimming for an adult team, but if I do that, I am signing over from the senior program, which is a really hard decision to make for me. Oh yeah, but about my lifeguarding certification. I was so nervous. Becuase I took the test like 5 years ago, and I passed everything except for one part of the test and then I got so upset about failing that one part that I decided not to pursue retaking it, out of fear. So I finally buckled down this time and took the tests at the mac with my manager. He gave me a lot of grace. But I passed the written test with a 94%! :-) That made me happy. I conquered a fear.
Oh, and free upgrade. My friend went to Spain for a term to study abroad, so I loaned her the European cell phone that I had bought when I was in Europe. She then proceeded to get it stolen. ;-) So, she bought me a different phone. Which is way nicer than the phone I had loaned her. So I got a free upgrade. :-)
I don't know if I mentioned this on here yet, but I have chosen my major.
International Studies with a regional focus on Europe, and hopefully a minor in Spanish and in Math. I know a math minor sounds crazy, and trust me I think going for that will be challenging. But, I think I am up for the challenge. But we will see. I have been trying to meet with the adviser for European Studies, but his schedule is crazy.
Next week, I get to have a family lunch with my relatives from Sweden. That I almost visited when I was there, but it was too expensive to make it down to souther Sweden from where I was in Guthenburg. I am excited to see them.
There are so many languages I want to learn. I have been writing lots of e-mails in Spanish, but they take me so long to write. It is such good practice though.
Wake boarding on Monday! :-)
