a/n: like I mentioned this story has two endings, this is the second.

“JunSu? Is that you?” Jae Joong asked as he scanned the unidentified number on his screen.

“Jae Joong hyeong?” JunSu called out again.

Jae Joong could  hardly hear him as it was so noisy on the other end of the line. Covering his other ear with his hand Jae Joong replied, “Yes, it is but where are you JunSu-ah? I can’t hear you clearly.”

“Oh hyeong, hang on a second,” JunSu’s side went silence for a while and Jae Joong presumed he was searching for a quieter corner to speak.

ChangMin had edged closer to Jae Joong when he heard JunSu’s name, lifting an inquiring eyebrow at his hyeong who just raised a hand telling him to wait.

A few seconds later JunSu spoke again, “Hyeong? Can you hear me now?”

“Yes, much better. What’s going on JunSu, I called you several times, you had me worried!” Jae Joong complained but he was dying of curiosity.

“Er… I’m sorry Jae Jong hyeong, but I dropped my phone and it’s broken but guess what happened as I was leaving the office?” JunSu asked giggling excitedly.

“Huh? I don’t know Su,” Jae Joong noted that his friend sounded happy despite ruining his phone but he was in no mood for any of JunSu’s guessing games.

“He was waiting for me! YooChun was outside my office with an enormous bouquet of flowers! He said the he lied that he was working because he wanted to surprise me on our 100th day!”

“Did he?” Jae Joong asked drily but couldn’t help but wonder if the flowers were leftovers from some florist that was closing down.

“Yeah! We are at Lotte World…”

Jae Joong eyebrows rose when he heard the name of the theme park. He knew the rides were rather expensive and he wondered what made that miser go there.

“Hyeong? Jae Joong hyeong are you still there?” JunSu sounded worried when he didn’t hear Jae Joong hyeong’s reply.

“Yeah, yeah I’m still here Su,” Jae Joong said as his eyes followed ChangMin with his head hung low and hands shoved deeply into his pockets, slowly pacing in front of him.

“Well YooChun got complimentary passes! Aren’t we lucky?” JunSu’s voice rose as he grew more and more estatic.

Jae Joong merely hummed as he listened to JunSu telling him about the rides that he would be on.

“And guess what hyeong, YooChun said he loved me! I never expected it all!” JunSu gushed excitedly.

“That is indeed good news and I’m so happy for you,” Jae Joong sincerely meant what he said. JunSu was right that it was totally unexpected but perhaps they had all underestimated this Park YooChun.

“But hyeong I’m so sorry we were supposed to celebrate today right? I don’t think I can make it but I promise to make it up to you,” JunSu apologized.

“It’s alright, but promise me you’ll tell me everything okay and I mean everything,” Jae Joong demanded.

“I promise hyeong! I gotta go now, I love you hyeong,” JunSu laughingly promised before hanging up.

“I guess JunSu hyeong wouldn’t be coming after all?” ChangMin asked quietly. He couldn’t hear what JunSu hyeong said but from the bits and pieces of the conversation that he heard he could pretty much guessed what happened.

“No, YooChun surprised JunSu at work and they went to a theme park. I’m sorry ChangMin,” Jae Joong had never seen ChangMin like this before so solemn and serious. It was so unlike the dongsaeng he knew.

Then it suddenly dawned on him that maybe his dongsaeng secretly had feelings for JunSu, his bestfriend. Perhaps that was the reason for ChangMin’s sudden interest in his weekly meetings with JunSu or maybe because out of all of JunSu’s boyfriends only Park YooChun posed a threat.

“It’s okay, the restaurant is still open and we can still go and eat,” ChangMin started to walk towards the restaurant once more.

“Hang on a minute Minnie-ah,” Jae Joong held on his dongsaeng’s arm, the very arm that he pinched a few days ago as he went on, “I’m sorry I didn’t know, I wished I did and I…I could have said something to JunSu…”

“What do you mean hyeong?” ChangMin looked puzzled.

“You like him don’t you?”

“Who?” ChangMin shuffled his feet nervously.

“ChangMin-ah…” Jae Joong gave his dongsaeng a knowing look.

“Oh…is it so obvious? I thought I had it well hidden,” ChangMin smiled sheepishly at Jae Joong.

“Actually I just figured it out, but you know Min-ah I’m…aish!” Jae Joong was for once lost for words, he was torn between being happy for his best friend yet he felt bad for his own dongsaeng.

“I wouldn’t worry too much hyeong, you’ll see this time next week JunSu hyeong would be whining to you again about Park YooChun’s spending habits,” ChangMin chuckled softly as he kicked a stray pebble.

“Why didn’t you say something? Why didn’t you tell him how you feel?” Jae Joong was curious.

“Ahh…that…well I just wanted him to see me, my true self for himself and like me at his own pace in his own terms. Besides I have been waiting for all these years, what’s a little longer?”

Jae Joong shot ChangMin an amazed look but said nothing only nodding in agreement. With ChangMin’s words echoing in his mind Jae Joong slipped his arm around ChangMin’s shoulder as together they walked towards the restaurant.

End.
