“Okay, here is the next question. If one of your members was a girl, which member would you date?”
“I think I would date Sandeul,” the leader spoke with a small chuckle, turning to look at the said member next to him, his hand landing on his lap gently. “Um…let’s see. Deullie’s very caring, despite the fact that he is a Busan man. They say Busan men are supposed to be a little cold and detached but Deullie’s not like that. He has a lot of aegyo too, so I think if he was a girl, he would be extra cute. I’d want to keep him around me at all times.” He laughed. “I would keep him away from the other members.”
Junghwan snickered, bringing his own mic to his lips as he opened his mouth to add, “Jinyoung hyung would be a good boyfriend, I think. I’d let him be overly protective of me.” He met eyes with his leader, both bursting out into a small awkward chuckle a few seconds afterwards. “Oppa~” he jokingly called, successfully receiving various remarks from the other members and the interviewer.
“Oh, geez,” Jinyoung let out with another laughter, shaking his head, “my hands and feet are going to contract into nothing!” He hanged his head out of habit as his shoulder shook from his chuckles.
“Hyung started it!” Junghwan retorted as he playfully slapped the older’s arm, causing everyone to burst out into another round of laughter. The interviewer paused and glanced over Sunwoo’s way, catching the blond’s blank stare with a slightly forced smile plastered on his lips. She outstretched a hand to him to grab everyone’s attention.
“Baro-ssi, what’s wrong? You don’t look so well. Is it because of the cheesiness?” she joked with a bright smile as the other members turned to look at their rapper at the very end of the row. Sunwoo perked up his ears and quickly straightened out from his hunched position at the sudden attention as he let out a small chuckle.
“Ah, yes. I think I’m going to throw up from the cheesiness,” he responded flatly, nodding his head.
For a second, the atmosphere was cold and silent from Sunwoo’s answer and Chansik could have sworn he saw a penguin waddle by in front his eyes. The maknae quickly laughed, whipping his head back over to the interviewer. “Baro hyung isn’t into cheesy stuff like this! He usually doesn’t like it when me or Deullie hyung does aegyo to him!” he informed. Shinwoo and Junghwan joined in with their own comments as they nodded their heads, trying to liven up the mood again.
Jinyoung, however, turned and narrowed his eyes to shoot the rapper a serious glance, receiving only a light rebellious scowl in return.
The interview was going to be a long one, they knew.

Once the interview was over, the members, especially Jinyoung, were busy bowing and thanking the interviewer and staff. As a leader, Jinyoung was able to lightly joke and apologize for their lack of entertainment to the interviewer, since they were a new rookie group. She, of course, insisted that they were plenty fun and that he had nothing to worry about though that might have been Jinyoung’s smile and charm convincing her so.
Soon enough, their manager hyung stepped in to inform that Junghwan, Chansik, and Dongwoo were needed elsewhere for another schedule so the group had to quickly take their leave. The members and the interviewer shared their last goodbyes and they soon left.
The ride back to the dorm was awfully quiet and cold. Jinyoung was obviously angered, as well as Sunwoo, and the leader was known for giving cold shoulders whenever he was angered; the other members were busy giving each other awkward glances because of the atmosphere (as much as the darkness had let them do so, at least). Luckily for them, a few minutes later, which felt like hours for them, to be honest, they were soon dropped off for their individual schedules and Junghwan had to admit inwardly that he had never climbed out of the van so quickly before. He knew he wanted to get out of there as soon as possible, before anything happened.
“Get some rest, okay?” Dongwoo said to his friend quietly as he climbed out, the leader nodding his head with a small smile.
“I will.”
Shinwoo nodded his head as well, waving his hand one last time at Jinyoung and Sunwoo before closing the door and following behind his two dongsaengs.
“I’ll be back,” the manager informed as he glanced over his shoulder at the two members. “I’m just going to go inside and make sure the boys get settled in. I’ll come back soon and take you guys back to the dorm so you can rest, all right?”
Jinyoung nodded, watching his manager climb out before placing a hand on his own neck to start massaging himself. He closed his eyes and heaved a small sigh, slumping in his seat slightly in attempt to relax with Sunwoo seated behind him.
The younger slumped in his seat as well, his arms enfolded across his chest as he stared at the back of Jinyoung’s head, almost boring holes into it. He squinted his eyes lightly and stuck out his lips; it was a habit of his that he found himself doing often whenever he was upset…which he was, at the moment.
He leaned forward and grabbed onto the seat next to Jinyoung, opening his mouth to say something though once he saw Jinyoung pull out his mp3 player and earphones, sticking the earbuds in to block out all sounds, he pursed his lips together and furrowed his brows in aggravation. He almost wanted to reach a hand and rip the earbuds out of the older’s ear and give him a piece of his mind but that train of thought left the station when the manager came back, announcing that he’d take them home.
Sunwoo fell back into his seat once more as he glanced out the window, deciding it would be better to calm himself down on the way back.
He was wrong.
It was no better when they got home, with their manager hyung leaving shortly afterwards to support the other members at their schedule. Jinyoung went straight to their room and curled up into bed with his earphones still in, which gave Sunwoo no chance to say anything to the leader at all, causing the rapper to grow grumpy and plop down on the couch to see what’s on television.

Creak-
Perking up his ears, Sunwoo glanced over at the door to their room. Jinyoung, who was changed into his comfy clothes of a plain t-shirt and sweatpants, walked out and headed straight for the kitchen, completely ignoring the younger on the couch. Sunwoo glanced over at the clock; it had been around almost an hour since the leader was locked up in the bedroom doing lord knows what. He assumed composing or writing lyrics, since that’s what the older did most of the time whenever he was quiet in the room.
The blond sat up slightly up on his elbow, his other arm lazily hugging the cushion as he stretched his neck to see what Jinyoung was up to in the kitchen. Judging by how the older was standing over the stove, he assumed he was fixing tea.
He heaved a sigh, pulling his legs over the edge of the couch to sit up fully, placing the cushion aside as he got up on his feet. He scratched the side of his neck as he walked over to the kitchen, soon standing behind the older without a sound. He glanced over Jinyoung’s shoulder to find him pouring the tea now. He pondered for a moment before closing his eyes, throwing his arms around Jinyoung’s waist and holding him tight.
“Hyung…”
“Quit it,” Jinyoung commanded, wiggling slightly in his grasp in attempt to get out though the more he wiggled, the tighter Sunwoo held him. The blond said nothing as he buried his face against the back of Jinyoung’s shoulder, silently taking in his scent before heaving another sigh.
“Hyung-”
“Sunwoo, let go,” he growled, elbowing the younger lightly in the stomach. The said boy grunted softly, loosening his grip, enough for Jinyoung to turn around with the mug in hand.
However, Sunwoo quickly recovered, placing his hands on the counter on each side of Jinyoung’s hips and trapping him in his spot. He squinted his eyes slightly and stared up at him, tilting his head as Jinyoung stared back, a blank look on his face. The blond furrowed his brows.
“What was that, anyways?!” he scowled. “’I think I would date Sandeul’? Were you purposely trying to make me mad or something?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Oh, don’t play dumb with me, hyung.”
The two stared again, this time, Jinyoung’s face slightly contorted as well. He placed the mug cup aside on the counter beside Sunwoo’s hand, enfolding his arms across his chest.
“Are you stupid or what?”
“What-?!”
Jinyoung sighed, leaning back against the counter and hanging his head a bit.
“…I can’t believe you’re stupid enough to think that whole thing was real,” he breathed out, slightly glancing back up. Sunwoo lifted a brow up into his bangs, blinking his eyes, confusion written on his face. The leader heaved another sigh, shaking his head. “Forget it.” His hand reached for the mug cup again as he moved to try and escape from in between Sunwoo’s arms.
“No, wait,” Sunwoo stopped him, trapping him back in between his arms. “Tell me.”
Jinyoung glanced away, looking down at the ground as he bit the inside of his mouth out of habit. He let out another sigh.
“I’m angry about how much of an amateur you acted like during today’s interview, okay? Just forget I said anything,” he tried again, taking Sunwoo’s wrist in attempt to pull his hand away from the counter so he could free himself. The younger stood his ground.
“What, so…you’re angry at me for being jealous?”
“No.”
“Then what?!”
“I’m angry at you for thinking I’d like Deullie!” Jinyoung blurted, losing his patience as he pursed his lips together afterwards. “I thought…I thought I already let you know well enough that you’re the one I want, not Deullie. It’s like you didn’t trust me well enough and I didn’t like that, okay?”
“…”
“…I’m going to bed-”
“Stay still.”
Jinyoung blinked, averting his gaze back down at Sunwoo as the younger stared intently. The kitchen grew silent and at Sunwoo’s silence, Jinyoung grew silent for a moment as well before deciding to open his mouth to speak.
Before he could say anything, Sunwoo acted quick, pressing his plush lips against the older’s with closed eyes. He was gentle, extremely gentle, as if Jinyoung would break if he handled him in any other way. Jinyoung blinked rapidly, his mind taking a moment or two to realize what was going on before having the right mind to kiss the younger back. However, when Sunwoo pulled away shortly afterwards, he felt as though the kiss was over before it even began.
“Sorry…” Sunwoo apologized quietly in a whisper against his lips, letting out a small sigh. “You’re right; I should have trusted you more.”
“…”
“I’ll try not to let it get to me so easily next time, okay…?”
“…” Jinyoung silently nodded and Sunwoo smiled, wrapping his arms around the older’s waist once again, holding him close. Jinyoung said nothing as he held Sunwoo by his shoulders as well, closing his eyes with a content sigh. He had to admit…He didn’t necessarily hate Sunwoo’s jealousy.
And he felt he could get used to it if they all ended in kisses.
