I should really, really be sleeping right now. I've got to get up in five hours to start my first day of work for the summer. I have to drive all over creation (the first day's orientation thing is not at the place I'll be working, so it's an extra frustrating drive) and I'm so friggin' nervous...

I've spent the last couple of weeks basically sitting around doing nothing, and it was amazing. Moving in was stressful, but I love my little apartment (though... how do I still manage to lose stuff in only 340 sq ft???). Spent a lot of time with Rob (he practically lived here), and it was amazing. We played a *lot* of World of Warcraft - I made the decision to leave my progression raiding guild on Zul'jin and transfer to Burning Blade - he made the compromise to faction-change to Horde (it's a Horde-dominated server so it was a good move anyway). We're making a little semi-casual 10-man guild and so far recruiting is going okay - it's been up and running for a little over a week, and we've already at least got a group going (killed two bosses the first raid, though the raid time was cut short because a healer didn't show up so we had to spend 45 minutes spamming trade channel).

I've been a little emotionally turbulent lately. I needed the downtime of doing nothing, I think, as a sort of reset button. I need to get back into Life, though. I feel bad for neglecting friends and family - I haven't talked to anyone besides my mom, Rob, and the HR lady at Endo in the last two weeks - and she was just a couple short e-mails.

I keep coming to update this thing, then staring at the blank entry box, then closing the browser. So much I want to say, but it never quite seems to come out.

I've been doing a lot of very excellent cooking now that I'm able to. Homemade meatballs, two batches of chicken salad from scratch, pierogies, tabouleh and sumac chicken with tzatziki sauce... mmm. I've been thinking lately about making a cooking blog - not sure if I'd really have the energy to update it regularly (or the photography skills to pull it off), but the idea's been rattling around in my head...
