Yep, they do. I sliced a finger open the other year and kept wrapping paper towels around it and it just kept soaking them constantly. Somehow didn't need stitches though.

Mine just wouldn't stop bleeding. I kept applying pressure and checking and it was still gushing. A little bit of blood I can deal with. A tsunami of blood is something completely different!
