People always remember the negative things inflicted upon them by certain people. How come they never remember all the good things those same people have done for them? A majority of the time the evil does not outweigh all the good a person has done for you. However, if it does, the previous statements do not apply.
I think people need to learn how to show appreciation that isn't short-lived.
I cannot say I am not guilty of this. But really, it's just a trend I notice amongst....many people - young and old. It only discourages people from doing that nice deed that can really lift someone's day, or helping out a friend that is desperately in need of assistance. People who feel underappreciated may culminate a grudge that is not easily forgotten. The growing hatred cannot be healthy for anyone's emotional health - primarily for those who are underappreciated. I am sure the external relationship between the two parties will suffer as time passes.
So please, show your appreciation for your friends and loved ones. Be friendly to strangers. Smile.
