Ah the snow. We needed some precipitation to get all of the crap out of the air that has been hanging around. But I don't think we needed as much as we got. Which last night brought me to the realization that I suck at using a snowblower. Normally, Chris is the one who takes care of lawn mowing and snow blowing. But he's in San Francisco. So it was up to me. *sigh*
Our driveway is big. We have a three car garage, so that's a lot of driveway to deal with. We also live on a corner lot, which means more sidewalk than the average house. At least we have a snowblower now. I shoveled it once. That was crap. I tried to get the damn thing started for about 10 minutes. I'm not stupid . . . okay, not most of the time. There are instructions printed on the snowblower and I was following them. But no go. So I get cheesed and decide to bag it for a bit and call Chris.
Well, I couldn't get a hold of him. So I decided to play Animal Crossing on the Gamecube for a bit. I haven't played the Gamecube version of that thing for 4 months. Needless to say a lot of weeds had popped up and my villagers were wondering where the crap I had been. It was fun though.
Chris called when I was finishing up in my game and he apologized for not letting me know before he left Salt Lake that the snowblower was out of gas. Thankfully, there was still some gas in one of our little gas cans, so all was good. Or so I thought.
I'm pretty sure half of the snow I plowed ended up blowing back onto me. I think I snowblowed part of the lawn. I gave up after I had gotten the sidewalk and half of the driveway done. I was cold, my back hurt and I was covered in snow. I think I'll have Chris show me how its really supposed to be done.
I dreamt in Japanese last night. I understood what people were saying, cause it was my dream. But apparently my brain wanted to make sure so it provided subtitles. I don't think I have ever had a subtitled dream before . . . it was strange.
The New Year's Eve party was great. Everyone who came seems to have had a good time. Thanks to Danny we were all able to indulge in some of our pyro tendencies. Even our across the street neighbors came out and yelled Happy New Year to us. Which was fun because the guy who owns the house is a radio personality known as Jimmy Chunga. I still think he is kind of a punk, but at least that improved my impression of him a bit.
So, everyone. Would you like it if I threw another party next year? Maybe we can have a custom pizza bar or something. That might be fun.
I'm starting to get a little hungry. I think I'll head up to the cafeteria and get a tuna salad sandwich and some soup. Yummy!!!
