It's 4:30 in the morning. You may ask yourself why on God's green Earth am I up this early. The story actually starts a few days ago . . .
Wednesday evening I was heading out to go pick up P-chan and No-chan to go see Mitt, Pan-Pan's little sister, at her wedding reception. Couldn't find my wallet. Searched all over the house and even went back to work to search. Called all the campus lost and found places that might have seen it. Nothing. I had everything in there and I mean EVERYTHING. ID, Credit Cards, Bank Cards, Passport. Why my passport? Because I'm dumb. It's okay, I know it to be true.
Spent all day yesterday running around to various government and financial institutes to get stuff replaced. Driver's license, Social Security Card, Bank Cards, Work ID . . .
So, the passport. That's why I'm up this early. Supposed to be going to Japan at the end of next week. What is it you need to get into and out of countries? Did someone say "Passport?" Ding Ding, we have a winner. Taking a flight to Seattle to the closest Regional Passport Agency that had an open appointment. Took several hours yesterday collecting things to prove I'm a person and that I am who I say I am.
Wish me luck, kids. Hopefully later today I'm walking out of that Seattle office with a new passport in hand . . .
