new week of class, and already things are messed up. one of my teachers canceled class last wednesday(we had the class first on monday), then we show up friday and he never shows up. so we show up today, and he never shows up. we then go to our advisor(there's only 3 of us in the class) we find out our teacher was in the hospital and taht's why he was not there wednesday, but no one has heard from him since that time. the secretary tried to call him at the hospital, but was not allowed to talk to him or something. so now we currently do not have a teacher and do not know when this one is coming back. we were told we have a couple options, either do absolutely nothing, or read the book on our own, and they would have a grad student available to answer questions for us. so we chose that option. it happens to be the same grad student who is doing the independent study for another class for me and bob. he's a nice guy, but does not want to do this other class, because he took it like 2 years ago, and doesn't really remember stuff. we're gonna meet with him on it next week anyway, but who knows, maybe our professor will be back by then. it seems like a very strange situation. why am i paying to go to school when i have 3 independent studies where i have to at least partially teach myself. i also got my senior design project today. i have to do risk assessment on saws cutting through electrical conduit in concrete. yeah. so exciting. it's really cold in this entire school building and i would like it to stop.
