hmmm, the possibilities
As noted on FB, I recieved and unsolicited call for a job offer. It is at Tollway/Arapaho. That is a trek from my neck of the woods.
Below is the beginning of the process, I guess. The hiring manager and I will not be able to meet till May, due to our schedules.
I am happy here and the location is convenient for my other two "jobs" I have during their respective seasons.
The people here are nice and I genuinely like them.
I have an office WITH A DOOR and a great view.
My boss is pleased with my work and encourages me.
I make decent $$ here but more is always helpful.
The non-cash benefits are pretty decent.
What I know so far is:
I would be managing two people.
I know the location.
I like the hiring manager.
I know the system I would be working on. (I know both the oil and gas systems this company produces)
I know the client. I used to work for them.
less actual o/g work like I do now and more technical/system work like a software company would do.
$$ unknown at this time. there should be math done before I give a number.
Would throw a curve ball at my plans of attaining another certification
It is nice to know that after 23 years, my name and my work are known within the inudstry, at least in Texas. As this company provides software services to my current employer I do not know if there is any clause in the contract that will prohibit a possible move from here to there.
