I went to the dentist and my step-dad Terry came with to watch Aria. She was happy for a while, but it soon became clear that she needed her mommy. While they were setting up for the next stage, I nursed her then handed her back. But she was still not content, so Terry brought her into the exam room with me and sat her on my lap, and she was happy until they slid the chair backward so I was lying down so they could work on my teeth. So I set her on my belly and latched her on, belly to belly, and she nursed through the entire cleaning and exam, and even fell asleep, even when there was this high-pitched squealing cleaning device and water squirting out of my mouth in all directions. :-) I was so happy to continue to meet my baby's needs while getting my teeth cleaned. The staff seemed surprised that I wanted to do that, but they were nice about it and nobody discouraged me or complained at all.
