This takes place in the same day as chapter 2
Kevin walked out of the student building, calm and slow, taking his time so he didn’t draw attention to himself, he walked carefully before rounding a corner and falling to his knees. He couldn’t believe what had just happened, what he had just done. He wanted to tell Kibum, but that wouldn’t be smart, he decided he would tell the next friend he saw, thankfully it was Soohyun. He stood up, and strode over slowly, trying to hold the tears back. Soohyun got closer and Kevin noticed his face was glum, pushing his own problems aside he decided to ask when Soohyun was in range.
“What’s wrong hyung?” Soohyun smiled at him faintly before his seemingly “I am okay” façade completely crumbled.
“I broke up with Dongho.” Kevin took him by the hand, leading him behind the building so they could sit; Soohyun rested his head on Kevin’s shoulder.
“What happened?”
“I can’t get over what had happened Kevin. Cheating is bad enough but, when you have sex and give your virginity to the person you were cheating with, it’s so much harder to get over.” Kevin swallowed hard and nodded.
“I love him so much; I just can’t get over it. I can’t forget the video of him and Changmin together, whenever I look at him or hear anything sexual from him; it’s all I think about. It hurts; no it kills me every time. I still can’t help it.”
“You remember how dark of a place he went to. Don’t put him through that again, hyung.”
“I should allow myself to be hurt then, Kevin? For the sake of Dongho’s happiness, I should be the one that’s always hurt?” Kevin sighed.
“You’re right, it’s not fair. But, try explaining it to him in different terms. Let him know you still love him and at least give
him hope that if you get over it you’ll get back with him if he wants you.”
“I know. I do love him, I do, it’s stupid and complicated, but I can’t deal with being in a relationship.”
“Just take time. Everyone copes differently.”
“Kevin, promise you’ll never cheat on Kibum.” He froze, “It’s the worst feeling in the world when you find out that the
person you love is with another person. It doesn’t matter the reason, it kills.”
“Alright…I-I have class, you do too. I’ll come over later alright? Invite Dongho over. It’s soon but, it will show that you want to be his friend.” Soohyun nodded, kissed Kevin’s cheek and walked to class.
Kevin sat there, waiting until Soohyun was out of sight before crying. How could he have let it happen?

Meanwhile, Alexander was smiling up at the sky; it was Hoon’s bright idea to watch clouds instead of going to class. Everyone needed a break now and then.
“Isn’t it fun hyung, just relaxing on the warm blanket on the pointy grass and looking at nothing?” Alexander chuckled and rolled onto his side, smiling at the younger. The past few months, he had grown a lot closer to Hoon; they would have sleep overs and go to parties together. The first time Alexander got drunk, it was Hoon who helped him get home and kept him from doing something stupid. He couldn’t help growing some feelings for the younger, it was inevitable.
“Hyung?”
“Yes Hoon?”
“I think that I’ve fallen for Hyung.” He blushed and sat up, turning his body to face Alexander.
“What do you mean?” Hoon sighed hard, made to lean into Alexander before stopping himself.
“You have a boyfriend.” Alexander nodded and frowned.
Hoon had developed feelings for him as well, and it would have been perfect if not for the fact that Alexander was dating Joon; the same Joon that ignored him all the time, the same Joon who left him for college in America.
“He doesn’t call me much anymore. I think I should break up with him.” Hoon nodded.
“It’s not because of me though right? I don’t want you to break up with him and get with me just because he ignores
you.” Alexander shook his head, he had been thinking of it before Hoon had confessed.
“I’ve been thinking about it long and hard. If he really loved me, he wouldn’t have left as easily as he had, and he
would still…call me at unruly hours of the night to talk. I get that college is a lot of work, but I should be a priority as
well!”
“Then, would you want to date me if you broke up with him?” Alexander nodded slowly, smiling when Hoon blushed more.
“I’ve started liking you a lot the past few months. I can’t really explain it, I just, started feeling better when you were around. I never wanted to be apart from you.”
“That’s how I’ve been feeling! I get really sad when you’re not around and I just, well I don’t know, nothing makes me happy when I haven’t talked to you.”
“I’ll give you my answer tomorrow, want to go get lunch? I’ll buy.” He shot up from his seat and offered a hand to Alexander.
“I love food! Especially when it’s free food and I can eat with hyung!” Alexander took the hand and couldn’t help but smile more, he was so cute.

Dongho sighed; Changmin has skipped the last four classes. He knew he said something extremely rude and stupid, but Changmin didn’t have to skip class. During lunch hour, he went to find Changmin. He walked to the bathroom; no Changmin. He then went to the gym, hopes high; still no Changmin. Dongho was getting a little worried, but he continued to look before calling his house phone. He looked in the nurses’ office, three different class rooms before he finally went to check the roof.
He climbed the stairwell slowly, every step echoed louder than the last. For some reason to him it seemed colder than it normally was, it was darker, and he couldn’t help this gloomy feeling taking over him. He opened the door and dropped to his knees.
“No”, was all he found himself saying, over and over while he found the strength to stand up and walk towards his friend.
“Changmin, no.” Tears blurred his vision; he fell to his knees again, and stared at his best friends’ lifeless body. He felt this giant wave of guilt wash over him; he knew it was because of what he said. Changmin was smart, but rash and sometimes acted on impulse.
He still couldn’t believe it, he touched his cheek, and it was still warm. A small shimmer of hope lit in his eyes while he checked to see if Changmin was breathing, he held his own breath and got close to his mouth; keeping absolutely still; the smallest and faintest intake of breath could be heard.
Dongho quickly began to untie the rope while he dialed 911; he wasn’t going to let Changmin die, not like this.
“Changmin, Changmin-ah can you hear me?” He took him into his arms, holding him close and trying to wake him up. He was slightly relieved, but nothing would calm him until Changmin was awake and surely safe. He leaned down, presses his lips to Changmins and began to administer CPR. He didn’t know if he was even doing it right, but Dongho was going to try everything he knew in order to save him. He did not want to lose Changmin.
He continued to give CPR to Changmin while waiting for, what seemed like hours, the ambulance to come. He allowed Changmin to be taken from him, followed them down the stairs and out of the school, their parents were informed and Dongho was granted a leave to go with Changmin.
From the corner of his eye, he could see Kyuhyun with that Lee Sungmin from the other senior class. He glared hard and stomped over while they EMT’s were speaking with Yunho.
“What the fuck is this?” He was greeted with a smirk.
“I’m with my boyfriend, go away.”
“You cheated on Changmin?”
“I cheated on Sungmin, now go.” Dongho hit him, hard. Sungmin was ready to attack, but stopped when Dongho
pointed to Changmin on the stretcher.
“That’s your fault.” And with that, he walked back to his friend, climbed into the ambulance and prayed they had enough time to save him.
[Time elapsed: 6 hours. Current time: 3: 00 pm.]
Dongho hadn’t stopped crying since they got to the hospital. He was still sitting in the waiting room, with no information on how Changmin was doing. His hyung’s were coming over as soon as their classes let out; even Soohyun was coming to comfort him.
Kevin and Kibum were the first to arrive, together of course. Kevin ran over to Dongho, pulling him up from the chair and into a tight hug. Dongho had told Kevin everything that happened that morning, from Soohyun breaking up with him to the argument he had with Changmin, and the information he found out about Kyuhyun.
“Did they say anything yet?” He shook his head, too choked up to speak.
“I’ll excuse you for the test for a week or so, alright? It’s really the only thing I can do for you.” Dongho smiled a little.
“You being here, it means a lot to me Kibum hyung.” Kibum pulled Dongho from Kevin, holding him tighter and closer than the latter. He knew what it was like to lose someone over something like this.
“He will be okay, Dongho, he will.” Kibum felt a spot on his shirt grow wet, he sat down and cradled Dongho in his lap. He looked at Kevin with sad eyes; the latter nodded and took a few steps away while pulling out his phone.

From: Kevin
Hyung, are you coming? Dongho really needs you. He’s such a mess.
To:Kevin
From: Soohyun
I’m walking up the stairs. I’ll try and calm him down.
Soohyun walked through the doors, followed by Alexander, Eli, and Kiseop. Soohyun strode over to Dongho, took him from Kibum’s arms and walked down the hall, turning a few corners before finally stopping.
“Are you okay Dongho?” He was silent, but nodded, tears still streaming down his cheeks. Soohyun brushed them away with the pad of his thumb, he hated when Dongho cried.
“I hope you don’t hate me. When I can hopefully accept the past, if you’re not seeing someone else, would you take me back?”
“I’m not going to see anyone. I only…only love you.” A lump formed in his throat, he clung to Soohyun and hoped it wasn’t the last time he could.
“I still want to be friends Dongho, like we were before we started dating. Can we do that?” He felt a small nod against his chest.
“Stop crying, Changmin is going to call you a baby for doing it.” Dongho chuckled a little.
“He’d call me a big baby. I hope…Hyung I’m so scared he won’t make it.”
“He will, you know he’s so much stronger than he thinks he is. You know he’ll make it Dongho. If he heard you, he’ll
fight this.” He nodded again, wiggling a little until Soohyun put him down.
“I feel better, thank you.” He ruffled Donghos hair and took his hand.
“Let’s go sit with the others.” Soohyun led the way back, even when they sat, he never took his hand away from Dongho’s and Dongho never wanted him too.
