I got a rather interesting assignment for the Yule fic, and while at first I cried and whined because I didn't know anything about the subject matter, I hauled out some handy reference material and now I have something to go on. Thank goodness it doesn't have to go like this:
"The Lady Elfwiness did sail down the Great River Anduin to East Lorien seeking the Yule celebration, because Celeborn moved the settlement after his wife left and he needed a change of scenery in order to move on because he'd always wondered about her and Gandalf anyway, and why not take the remaining Elves of Lorien with him, and she was really quite put out about the whole thing...Merry flipping Yule to you too...why can't !@#$ Cirdan put GPS in his mini boats...they'd better not spike the athelas punch this year, they know it gives me hives..."
